In 1960, the population of the town was 2,538, with only one [[Turkish Cypriot]] inhabitant, the rest being [[Greek Cypriot]]. Gialousa (Greek: Γιαλούσα [from Αιγιαλούσα, meaning "by the beach"]; Turkish: Yeni Erenköy) is a town on the Karpass Peninsula, in Cyprus. In 2011, it had a population of 1,774. Gialousa is under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus.

In 1960, the town had 2,538 inhabitants, of whom only one was Turkish Cypriot, the rest being Greek Cypriot.
