:::Here are three good sources that all say that one of her title's is "NBC News Chief Legal Correspondent": Her Today Show bio - http://www.today.com/allday/savannah-guthrie-co-anchor-6C10110180 , her official NBC bio - https://www.nbcumv.com/talent/savannah-guthrie/bios_read_more?show=151259 and her Twitter feed - https://twitter.com/savannahguthrie, which was last updated just 20 hours ago. As I said That site does not update things very good or it take a long time. same with TODAY Show bio of her on it own website. And Just because it says it on her twitter account does not mean she is. she just hasn't removed it yet. It took NBC them whole year or so to remove Meredith vieria from the TODAY Show credit from NBC Universal on the page for TODAY Photos, News and Press Releases. Savannah hasn't been Legal Analysis for over 2 Years now. The last time she acted in that role was on Ann Curry last day as Co-anchor [[User:Morningtv13|Morningtv13]] ([[User talk:Morningtv13|talk]]) 20:21, 21 March 2015 (UTC) |

"American Journalist"
In her bucket list interview, she states as having been born in Melbourne, Australia and moved to the States two years after. So, would deeming her as an "American Journalist" be appropriate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.123.102.43 (talk) 16:23, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
- It's my understanding that she was born to American parents, that her dad was stationed in Australia at the time of her birth due to his job. Thus, like other children born to U.S. citizens temporarily out of the country, she does qualify as American. For example, Sen. John McCain, 2008 Presidential candidate, was born in Panama while his father was stationed there in the military. However that doesn't make McCain a Panamanian. First job
Her first job was in Butte, Montana, not Missouri. She talked about it on the Tonight Show tonight, about how the station closed 10 days after she started working there. But at the moment I can't find a better print source than this. -LtNOWIS (talk) 04:54, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- US Weekly's a good source. Here's Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/31/savannah-guthrie-young-reporter-video_n_1845819.html You can also look for it on the NBC Tonight Show video archives. As this is last night's news, there will be plenty more to confirm. AngusWOOF (talk) 15:55, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Contradictory entries
There are several contradictory statements here... For instance, in the lead paragraph, it states that Gutherie "joined NBC in September 2007" but in the Biography section states that Gutherie "became a reporter for NBC News in 2008". Additionally, in the Biography section, it states that Gutherie worked at WRC-TV until she left for a job with CourtTV in 2002 while simultaneously working for a D.C. law firm, but then states that she graduated from Georgetown Law School Magna Cum Laude in 2002. Impressive, but doubtful. It is more likely that she left WRC, got her law degree, and then went to work for CourtTV and a law firm, but we really don't know. The timeline needs a bit of research and rework. CharleyHart (talk)
- Hi, there's no need to guess when it's in her bio [1]:
- September 2007 - joined NBC News
- 2006-2007 - Court TV Legal Affairs Correspondent
- 2004-2006 - Court TV National Trial Correspondent
- 2002-2003 - law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Field
- 2002 - gets law degree and passes bar exam in Arizona and DC
- 2000-2002 - freelance reporter WRC-TV
- 1995-1999 - KVOA-TV , Arizona
- 1993-1995 - KMIZ-TV, Columbia, Missouri
Feel free to reference that and update the inaccurate sections. -AngusWOOF (talk) 21:33, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
Current title at NBC News
There appears to be some confusion regarding Savannah Guthrie's current title(s) at NBC News. Here's is a link that leads to her current official bio at NBC:
https://www.nbcumv.com/talent/savannah-guthrie/bios_read_more?show=151259
The first sentence reads, "Savannah Guthrie is the co-anchor of NBC News' "Today." She also serves as NBC News Chief Legal Correspondent."
Can we agree that both of her current titles should be noted in her Wikipedia article? / FFM784 (talk) 21:25, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

- Can't you just strike out the dates active for that "known for" field? The space is for "A brief description of why the person is notable.", not a timeline of her positions. There is no requirement to show how long she has been active in those roles. If you need exact dates, then you'd have to provide the sources. -AngusWOOF (talk) 23:27, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
