Wakaw Lake is a resort village on the southern shore of Wakaw Lake in Hoodoo No. 401, Saskatchewan, Canada. The population was 35 at the 2006 Census. The village is located on Highway 41, approximately 97 km (60 mi) northeast of the city of Saskatoon, and about an equal distance south of Prince Albert. It takes its name from a nearby lake of the same name "Wakaw Lake", which is Cree meaning "crooked."
Demographics
In 2006, Wakaw Lake had a population of 35 living in 117 dwellings, a 16.7% increase from 2001. The village has a land area of 0.59 km2 (0.23 sq mi) and a population density of 59.4/km2 (154/sq mi).[5]
