:::Thank you, {{ping|Lugnuts}} and {{ping|MarnetteD}}. I've long learned that most online ratings are problematic(, particularly from articles on [[FiveThirtyEight]], including [http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/ghostbusters-is-a-perfect-example-of-how-internet-ratings-are-broken/ this one]), and I'm glad that the consensus on Wikipedia is to remove them. 1. Kww (talk · contribs)'s administrator permissions are revoked. He may regain the tools at any time through a successful request for adminship

  2. Kww (talk · contribs)'s edit filter manager permission is revoked. He may only regain them by appealing this remedy after 12 months to the Arbitration Committee.

Absolutely incredible! Thanks for messaging me. I never thought Jasper Stuyven would get reeled in. Sagan owes one to Kreuziger! I am totally exstatic! Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:18, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adding tag?

Hello sorry. Can I add Stub tag in Cássio Freitas?--Laxnesh LOKEN (talk) 20:09, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OMG

Hello L. I hope you are well. Have you been watching Juno's pics from Jupiter? I am pretty sure I saw this in the background of a couple of them :-) Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 04:55, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Marnette. Open the pod-bay doors! It's amazing stuff. Love all this kinda thing. Glad it didn't stop with just the Voyager missions. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:45, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. It is remarkable that advances in technology mean that Juno has more capabilities then all of the Voyager's combined including Voyager 6 er I mean V'ger :-) BTW I recently reread 2001: A Space Odyssey (novel). Considering that I have seen the film upwards of 100 times since '68 but hadn't read the book since the early 80s I figured it was time. I was struck by Clarke mentioning that Floyd (on his flight from the space station to the moon) starts reading a "newspad" which gives him access to newspapers from all over the world. It includes a crawl along the bottom of the screen that updates various news items. Amazing. Best regards. MarnetteD|Talk 14:41, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't read it in some time either (a few years, rather than a few decades)! I think I might dig it out to read on my commute to work. Last time I watched the film was a couple of months ago on a flight to the US. It was still enjoyable even on a crappy little screen, haha. Brian Hurn

Thanks for the "thanks" on the Brian Hurn article. I am (agonizingly slowly) working my way through the List of South Australian representative cricketers, attempting to give each player a decent-sized article. Of course, then I find things like CricketArchive's belief that Bruce Bowley played in a match in Adelaide on Christmas Day 1942, when he was actually a POW in Singapore at the time. --Roisterer (talk) 07:51, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And thanks again for improving the articles. It's always pleasing to see that there's so much that can be added these biographies, esp. little interesting things such as the POW issue! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:56, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

This may be of interest to you; the article on Il coltello di ghiaccio was moved without discussion on flimsy reasoning and can't be simply reverted. GRAPPLE X 06:46, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting my articles

Hi lugnats. i am the editor you addressed in cricket project. I made those articles as in the pages of every nations national cricket team, there were more red marks or unfinished articles. those players must also be given importance in their countries. leaving the pages of national cricket team with lots of red marks make wikipedia weak. think yourself and try to take the deletion tag. with respect User:Wiki tamil 100.--wiki tamil 100 12:29, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hijiri88. Sad and bitter trolling

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Hijiri 88 (やや) 12:29, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sadly, Hijiri88 got a massive WP:BOOMERANG in the chops. Ouch! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:58, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. I totally got a boomerang. That is why I was site-banned and indefinitely blocked for opening an ANI thread on an issue in which I had no history of involvement and randomly stumbled across. Great analysis. Hijiri 88 (やや) 21:42, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe think a bit harder before bowing down and doing Turkey's bidding next time. How sad. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:44, 13 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, I did what I did entirely on my own. Curly Turkey actually requested (in an email that I didn't see until after opening the ANI thread) that I not do anything about it. I just saw your block log (which predates anything involving either me or CT) and how it bizarrely includes you getting an almost unheard-of five consecutive blocks for the same offense, all of the same length. The fact that you have consistently one edit-warring block each year for the past five years indicates to me that you do not see edit-warring as the serious problem that it is, and admins' failure to tell you otherwise by giving you incrementally longer blocks is something that I felt (contrary to Curly Turkey's off-wiki request to me not to get involved) should be brought to the admin corps's attention. The fact that about a half-dozen non-admins (many of whom have at least as much of an interest in not seeing CT blocked as I do) misinterpreted my concerns and/or strategically requested the thread be closed to avoid it leading to CT getting a procedural block is frankly irrelevant to the fact that your block log is bizarre and still requires an explanation.
Anyway, there was no boomerang, nor will there be. I think WP:BOOMERANG joins WP:POINT in the list of WP namespace pages you just don't "get".

Re:MArk Hawthorne

The reason is because the flag is incorrect. We're either doing it by geographical nationality or sporting nationality. If it's geographical then mine is correct, if it's sporting the current situation is incorrect as cricket in Ireland is done on an All-Ireland basis, not just the Irish Republic. The Irish tricolour should not be used as that is not the Irish flag in cricket. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 17:50, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

@Lugnuts: Apologies if I just got too excited in the heat of the moment!!! No intention to pick up an argument or anything!!! No hard feelings!!! Cricket246 (talk) 08:59, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lugnuts: By the way one my edits have been termed as vandalism!!! May I know what's the proof in favour of this accusation? I can saw a very reliable citation/reference to verify the info added by me so I want a valid reason for this defamatory note for my edit... Just asking for a clarification, Lugnuts!! I really don't know why you are suddenly behaving so rudely with me because the future info mistake of mine you highlighted earlier has been totally corrected and rectified!!! @Lugnuts: Should we include the sponsor names with the names of the cricket grounds in England? Since it's done in 2017 season , should it also be edited for the 2016 season? For example should The Oval be replaced by Kia Oval in 2016 tours' pages as the 2017 tours has Kia Oval written instead of The Oval? Same for Ageas Bowl in place of Rose Bowl? Please give your opinion on this!!! Cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 13:26, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb Rating

Hi Lugnuts, I just saw that you removed mentions of the IMDb ratings in several articles. Just a stupid question: is it a consensus from the editors now that no IMDb ratings are to be included in Wikipedia articles? Could you please point me to related discussions/instructions? I still (quite often) see IMDB ratings in movie-related articles, and I hope that I can help modify them. Thanks! Hopechen (talk) 16:33, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
