East Pleasant View is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Colorado, in the United States. The population was 356 at the 2010 census.[1]

Geography

East Pleasant View is located at 39°43′40″N 105°09′25″W / 39.727901°N 105.156924°W / 39.727901; -105.156924.[2]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 369 people, 141 households, and 98 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 3,093.5 people per square mile (1,187.3/km2). There were 145 housing units at an average density of 1,215.6 per square mile (466.5/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.93% White, 0.81% African American, 0.54% Asian, 2.17% from other races, and 0.54% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.78% of the population.

There were 141 households out of which 29.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 13.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% were non-families. 22.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.90.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 24.9% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 31.7% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 100.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 114.7 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $53,015, and the median income for a family was $59,167. Males had a median income of $53,472 versus $30,795 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $29,317. None of the families and 9.2% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 64.
