Arc System Works (アークシステムワークス, Āku Shisutemu Wākusu) is a video game developer and publisher based in Yokohama, Japan. Founded by Minoru Kidooka in 1988, Arc System Works is best known for its arcade 2D fighting game franchises, Guilty Gear and BlazBlue.

History

Founded in 1988 as Arc Co., Ltd., it spent its early years as a contract developer for Sega, Sammy and Banpresto. On June 11, 2015, Arc System Works announced they had acquired all intellectual properties of Technōs Japan from Million Co., Ltd.[2]
