== About your review of my article titled MarkPlus ==

I have been asked to write this article on Wikipedia about my employer (MarkPlus). Even though I am well aware that promotional material should not go on Wikipedia, I really objectively feel this company deserves a Wikipedia page. MarkPlus has been one of the pioneers in advancing the discipline of marketing in Indonesia. They have an interesting story too and is one of the few companies competing head on with big multinational consulting companies in Indonesia. I am not saying it only because I am supposed to do this, but I really believe it.
Please help me with tips on how to make this article about the company more notable, neutral and objective. I have tried to do this by including minimal information about the company but more about the knowledge-based concepts they have come up with over the years, as well as some of the international best-selling books authored by the company's founder.

Consider it a polite disclaimer and please help. Any help is appreciated.

Further improvements

Hello Theroadislong... I'd like to work with you to improve SOCO International's Wiki page, get the facts out there and legitimize the page/remove the tags. I will not directly edit the page again since I am a COI editor and do have a 'close connection' with the subject. Nevertheless, I would like to help present the facts about SOCO's activities while adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines. In order to remove the promotional content I suggest removing the following three sentences, but please let me know what needs to happen to further improve the page and I would be happy to assist: -- "In 2016 it was reported that SOCO had indicated that with low cost production, no debt and its disciplined approach to capital allocation, the company was in a good position to weather a prolonged industry downturn." --"Looking ahead, the company said it plans to produce 10,000 to 11,500 barrels of oil equivalent a day in 2016 This doesn't included potentially higher output scenarios from its TGT field in Vietnam." --"The start of production was achieved more than a month ahead of schedule, SOCO said, and the H5 wellhead platform development was completed with zero lost time accidents." I look forward to hearing from you, SOCOrep — Preceding unsigned comment added by SOCOrep (talkcontribs) SOCOrep (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.

Decline reason - "content is already included in his article Mohanlal": Yes, it was meant to be removed after Mohanlal discography becomes a stand-alone list. Please consider a re-review.

'This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability'.

As my draft submission says, I was the CASWO. I am filling in the missing information between my predecessor and my successor . I am open to suggestions on how I can increase or prove my 'notability'. I would have thought my notability can be proved by my award of the MBE, and I have referenced that?

Do you know how scammy the page would look if she posted hundreds of articles you can see for the subject when you do a Google or Baidu search?? Come on. Be sensible.

I know about MEAT and this is not MEAT. Im pretty sure this subject even wrote a domain name decision involving Wikipedia, and I am trying to find it.

Understandable mistake

Links to the document I provided in 1936 Iraq coup d'état only seem inappropriate because my website has very little space to host documents. For that reason, I can't upload the PDF to the site without more space. I've rectified this by simply linking the docs to Google Drive, and re-directing people to my site to click that Google link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.115.182.129 (talk) 17:41, 28 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Theroadislong, Thank you for not immediately deleting the page I am in the middle of constructing for the above actor. I appreciate that when you first saw it it was very spartan- I assumed I could make it and add to it without it ringing alarm bells, but I have updated it with more info and references proving it's notability I think and would like to add more in terms of links to TV interviews etc, however the videos of the BBC and ITV TV interviews are mostly hosted on sites like YouTube and Facebook rather than the original TV channel (as some are a few months old now and will have disappeared off the online players). They are obvious in what they are but is it okay to link to these as references as they are secondary references and not primary ones ( albeit you can see that they are BBC and ITV videos)? This is the first film of the whole story and lots of us Bronte fans are very excited about it so we want to do a good job on the Wiki pages for the main cast and Director as we feel they are all suitably notable, so would welcome any suggestions on how to tackle issues like the TV interviews etc. Many Thanks, Faireycave Faireycave (talk) 22:43, 1 May 2017 (UTC) (Faireycave (talk) 22:43, 1 May 2017 (UTC))[reply]

Hello,

I think you have made a mistake in deleting this link. The HCM Care App is a new and free resource to educate patients and the general public about HCM. It has the most up-to-date information, provided by the top HCM specialists in the world. I think it is appropriate for an encyclopedia. If you don't, can you explain why? I would also like to create links on this page to the mobile app stores for this app.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acorcoran5 (talkcontribs) 12:59, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If the website or page to which you want to link includes information that is not yet a part of the article, consider using it as a source for the article, and citing it instead of just adding an external link. Links to the mobile app store would definitely be considered spam though. Theroadislong (talk) 13:57, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regrading the page

Page i added is about a real living person. Facebook profile of this person is https://www.facebook.com/sajna.najam

Articles in news sites about her are as follows,

http://metrovaartha.com/en/2015/08/24/experimental-dance-steps-of-a-housewife-that-proved/ http://www.thehindu.com/features/metroplus/shes-got-the-moves/article6839021.ece

how can i rectify the problem that this page is an orphan and such errors. please help me in resolving this issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sajnanajam (talkcontribs) 11:31, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not doubting that you are a real person, I think you might have misunderstood what Wikipedia is for. It is an encyclopaedia. It isn’t like Facebook where anyone can write about themselves. Please see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. We summarise what independent sources have published about subjects and we have essentially no interest in what anybody says or wants to say about themselves on Wikipedia we need reliable sources independent of the subject. Facebook is not a reliable source either. The page is an orphan because no other Wikipedia articles link to it. Theroadislong (talk) 11:39, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, Sajna Najam is a popular choreographer at South India in Kerala. Information of a good choreographer like this deserves to be included in this encyclopedia and is an important part of Malayalam cinema industry. In Wikipedia pages for Movies section the name of Choreographer has no space for inputting. That's why it seems to be missing. If else it would have been added. And she is similar to another popular choreographer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kala_(choreographer)

Please include this information about Sajna Najam and pls avoid any situation of deleting it from data base as many people will surely look for these details.

Detailed information about it has been mentioned at many sites as follows.

http://metrovaartha.com/en/2015/08/24/experimental-dance-steps-of-a-housewife-that-proved/ http://www.thehindu.com/features/metroplus/shes-got-the-moves/article6839021.ece http://www.mathrubhumi.com/tv/ReadMore/8642/sajna-najam-on-filmy-choreography/

Not an autobiography

I have not added any autobiography, because i am not sajna najam. Whn i trhough of writing about this choreographer, i signed ut with Wikipedia. When i thought of creating a user name , first thing that came to my mind was this name.

I think this might have caused that i am sajna najam.

Truth is that i am not sajna and i am not writing any autobiography.

This person has done lot of choreography works in Malayalam film industry, which made me decide to write about her as very less information was available in internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sajnanajam (talkcontribs) 12:32, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You need to change your user name then, as soon as possible, please see Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. Theroadislong (talk) 12:55, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

About Westafricandocumentary.com

TO Theroadislong,

Hi, I'm Alex and I saw you nominated my Wikipedia entry for speedy deletion. I have to tell you that your assertions are unfounded -- I am not related to anyone portrayed on the site, am not in any of the documentaries, and have never even been to West Africa. The site is for information purposes and designed to present an accurate image of West Africa, a growing region home to some of the poorest people on Earth.

If you can believe it, I have never even met any of the contributors to the site or the people seen in the documentaries. I know the contributors only from correspondence through the internet.

Please don't jump to conclusions and form harsh judgments. Westafricandocumentary.com is a true and dignified effort already known to many. It deserves to be publicly explained for the benefit of those who visit and enjoy it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexander Walker (talkcontribs) 15:59, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I did not nominate the article for deletion, that was User:Yash!. I noted your conflict of interest, in that it is your website you are writing about. Theroadislong (talk) 16:03, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of my work in progress on Adam Armstrong

I don't know what your position is nor your problem but I don't take kindly to an entire page being deleted. I am new to wikipedia and found your actions quite offensive given I have made efforts to correct the pages to your holier than thou standards. If you continue to remove pages I will make it very public to everyone else who and what you are and raise an official complaint with your overlords at Wikipedia. Talk about negative advertising. I have resurrected the pages by looking hard for links that allow that. Leave me and pages I am working on alone and try not to p--s anyone else if you can help it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nedvol (talkcontribs) 06:07, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are mistaken I commented on your draft sometime ago with the comment "This appears to be a family history project written in an essay style and not really suitable for an encyclopedia it includes a lot of unreferenced, original research and not enough in depth coverage in reliable sources." I have not deleted any content of yours and do not take kindly to your offensive manner here. Your article Adam Armstrong (settler) was accepted by User:Gnangarra but you have moved it back to draft for some reason. Theroadislong (talk) 07:01, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Nedvol: I moved it to article space after finding additional sources independent of those in the article and because it has links into additional topics. Theroadislong didnt delete the article you should at least apologise for what you have said. Gnangarra 07:50, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Theroadislong, I see that a page about me is up for deletion,

Hello Theroadislong, I am wondering why a page about me is up for deletion. You mentioned that there are no in depth articles about my work but the person (gallerist) who is putting this page up and editing an old page is doing a pretty good job covering the art and education projects I have been part of over a 20 year career. Is there a reason why you are being particularly harsh on me and these posts?

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by PatrickBKThompson (talkcontribs) 22:13, 10 May 2017 (UTC) There is a good response by another editor here [[1]] to your question. You need to establish notability by providing references that show there is widespread coverage of him in reliable sources independent of him. Wikipedia is not interested in what you have to say about yourself. Theroadislong (talk) 07:35, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adam Armstrong draft or posted page?

If I upset you please forgive me but I had no way of understanding what had actually happened. Please understand I have been doing this page for several months with only the comments made by wikipedia to guide me. I also do this as a volunteer and therefore attend to it less often than ideal. When I logged in yesterday, the first thing I noticed was that the draft Adam Armstrong page was "blank". Having spent many months trying to improve this I assumed that it had been deliberately removed as failing to meet the standard whereas I had regarded it as a work in progress . I found a link that allowed as I saw it the article to be restored hence its position back in drafts. Please note I had read in some other messages that content had been removed from another user and had not way of knowing that the article appeared to be posted i.e accepted - a message from you to someone asking about this made me realise only today what seemed to have occurred. I was also unable to find out how to create a second sandbox as I need to work on several articles contemporaneously so it was a very unsatisfactory afternoon. The chat site seemed to be hacked by people with no interest in wiki issues and it was dillusioning to be asked by one of the helpdesk why I was being secretive ( I didn't provide my user name because it told me not to!) perhaps you could confirm that the Adam Armstong page is now live so to speak. Once again my apologies but I hope you can follow why I made the assumptions I did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.136.68.106 (talk) 03:06, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article in question Adam Armstrong (settler) has now been moved back to article space and is live, I think the help desk encourages you not to use your "real name", but your "user name" is fine, you really shouldn't be editing whilst logged out. All good wishes. Theroadislong (talk) 08:11, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My new page

Hello! Thank you for your comments. I can see that I submitted much too soon. And I have read 2 opposite views about submitting - don't submit about yourself and be bold & submit. Not sure where you stand on this subject. I have newspaper references to my work but not sure yet how to set up the content box and the reference section. Will keep working at it and in the meantime, would appreciate your opinion if I should submit or if I should prepare & have someone else submit. I am an independent artist so I have all the links needed to fulfill the reference requirements. Thank you. Now I have to find that "sign your posts" symbol....found it! Help with creating multiple "sandboxes"
