Number Lab

Number Lab was one of the first athleisure fashion brands. Number Lab was nominated for and chosen as a finalist for the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation[1] award for the menswear category and the International Woolmark Prize competition.[2][3] and was selected to sit on the Council of Fashion Designer's of America (CFDA) fashion incubator program in 2012 alongside CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Johnathan Simikhai, Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award Winner Timo Weiland and Project Runway's Daniel Vosovic.[4][5][6]

Athleisure pioneer

Number Lab originally launched under the trade name 429 Life in 2004,[7][8] and changed its brand name to Number Lab in 2008.[7] At that time, only RLX, Zegna Sport, Prada Sport and 429-Number Lab existed in the nascent "athleisure" sector -- arguably has earning Number Lab a place as a pioneering athleisure brand.[9][7] The brand was first picked-up by Bloomingdale's in 2005 before expanding to retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and others internationally.
