Need advice please and help

Hi DorD, I left you a message earlier today but later I noticed my I.P. has been renewed. So I will post on your page and mine just to be sure you get this,

How does one proceed with a prolific Conflict of Interest/ Vandalism case without revealing the identity of the perpetrators? Assume the COI has been sustained over the course of years, and proof of affiliation with biased, misleading, or self published sources is at hand.

Also what is "Possible self promotion in userspace?" and why are some revisions deleted? I'm not promoting anything, can you explain the edits? I couldn't have posted anything anyway as I was blocked for a couple of days.... Or does that mean someone is looking into my COI complaint? I have no idea how this works... :)

User:Drewmutt

You might want to take a closer look at User:Drewmutt, and in particular, the edit history of their now-deleted page User:Drewmutt/Tips Oshwah Doesn't Want You to Know. The use of terms like "dank" and "Oshwanker" makes me think that they might be related to other accounts. -- The Anome (talk) 15:10, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

The Anome, I have to agree with GMG here. Drewmutt has been around for a long time and is a well-respected editor, so I'll also guess that the page was some sort of inside joke. Anyway, thanks for the note. ​—DoRD (talk)​ 16:37, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

Proposed rangeblock

Hi, I am proposing to block the IPs used by AnnalesSchool for block evasion. The ip-range-calc tool suggests 92.143.89.171/18 as encompassing the two IP addresses they have visibly (to me) used. Naturally, as CU you have far more information. I should welcome your advice on a rangeblock; as to desirability, the best range and whether it would cause collateral damage. I'm a bit too tired to go into detail at the moment, but that rangeblock won't be enough, I'm afraid. I haven't found any combination of rangeblocks that will stop AnnalesSchool without causing too much collateral damage, unfortunately. Technical news

• The Wikimedia Foundation's Anti-Harassment Tools team is creating an "Interaction Timeline" tool that intends to assist administrators in resolving user conduct disputes. Feedback on the concept may be posted on the talk page.
• A new function is now available to edit filter managers that will make it easier to look for multiple strings containing spoofed text.

Arbitration

• Eligible editors will be invited to submit candidate statements for the 2017 Arbitration Committee Elections starting on November 12 until November 21. Voting will begin on November 27 and last until December 10.
• Following a request for comment, Ritchie333, Yunshui and Ymblanter will serve as the Electoral Commission for the 2017 ArbCom Elections.

Obituaries

• The Wikipedia community has recently learned that Allen3 (William Allen Peckham) passed away on December 30, 2016, the same day as JohnCD. Allen began editing in 2005 and became an administrator that same year.
