Stray Kids (Korean스트레이 키즈) is an upcoming South Korean boy group formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name. It is composed of nine members: Bang Chan, Kim Woo-jin, Lee Min-ho, Seo Chang-bin, Hwang Hyun-jin, Han Ji-sung, Lee Felix, Kim Seung-min and Yang Jeong-in. The group is set to debut in 2018.

History

2017: Formation through a reality show

In August 2017, JYP Entertainment (JYPE) officially announced the agency's new reality-survival show to launch a male idol debut project. More details and teasers were released in the next two months, including the show's title—Stray Kids.[1][2][3] It premiered on October 17 and ended with all nine members as the final line-up of the group.[4]

Members

Leader. He was born on October 3rd, 1997(20). He joined JYPE in 2010 after passing an audition in Australia.

  • Kim Woojin (Korean김우진)

Main Vocal. He was born on April 8th, 1997(20). He is a former S.M. Entertainment trainee for a year where he used to train with NCT members.

  • Lee Minho (Korean이민호)

Main Dancer. He was born on October 25th 1998(19). He started dancing 4–5 years ago. He was one of the back-up dancers for BTS's concert tour.[5]

  • Seo Changbin (Korean서창빈)

Main Rapper. He was born on August 11th 1998(19). He was a trainee for two years.[5]

  • Hwang Hyunjin (Korean황현진)

Visual. He was born on March 20th, 2000(17) and he was a trainee for two years.

  • Han Jisung (Korean한지성)

Main Rapper. He was born on September 14th, 2000(17). He used to live in Malaysia. [6]

  • Lee Felix (Korean필릭스)

Rapper. He was born on September 15, 2000(17) in Australia.

  • Kim Seungmin (Korean김승민)

Vocal. He was born on September 22th 2000. He joined the company in 2016 after winning second place in JYPE 13th Open Audition.[7]

  • Yang Jeongin (Korean양정인)

Maknae. He was born on February 8 2001(16) in Busan.[5]
