Daudpur is a town in Saran district of Bihar. It is connected by NH-85 (20 km west of chhapra).

It is one of the major town of saran district. It is situated on NH 85(CHHAPRA SIWAN GOPALGANG HIGHWAY) 20 km west of chhapra(the headquaters of saran district). It is one of the biggest markets in Saran since independence. It is connected by railways(station code ddp). The police station is located in the east. Banks like State Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Uttar Bihar Kshetriya Gramin Bank etc are here. Pramod singh is the mukhiya' of daudpur panchayat preceded by munna singh. Shiv Mandir, Gayatri Mandir and Hanuman Mandir are the places of people's belief. People of daudpur are very helpful and love all. They live together without any barrier. They are peace loving. Purani Bazar is the heartplace of Daudpur . Baidhnath Jee Kirana, Harinarayan Jee Kirana, Murli Prasad Baranwal Cloth House, Raghunath Jee Medical, Yamuna Prasad LalBabu Gupta Jewellers are here from 1950s. J.d. Public school is a cbse affiliated school situated 3 km south of daudpur railway station is giving quality education to the students. Kasturba Gandhi kanya vidyalaya, jaitpur high school are imparting education from a long time. Nandlal Singh College is the degree college here affiliated by Jay Prakash University chhapra.

History

Daudpur was started to be developed as a market since independence. Daudpur railway station is from colonial period and was a important station on Chhapra - Siwan rail route. Is was very famous for its sugarcane. Sugarcane was sent to sugar mills through rails from here.
