The 2018 National Premier Soccer League season will be the 106th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 16th season of the NPSL.

Playoffs
The format applies to the following region and conference playoffs in terms of qualification:
- West Region
- Top 8 teams qualify
- Northwest Conference: 2 teams
- Golden Gate Conference: 3 teams
- Southwest Conference: 3 teams
- 3rd team is determined by one play-in game between the 3rd & 4th place finishers in the conference. Game to take place on June 30th, hosted by 3rd place team
- Top 8 teams qualify
- Midwest Region
- Top 6 teams qualify
- East Conference: 2 teams
- Great Lakes Conference: 2 teams
- North Conference: 2 teams
- The 3 conference champions will be seeded 1-3 by PPG
- The remaining 3 teams will be seeded 4-6 by PPG
- Top 2 seeds receive a Bye into the Midwest Region Semifinals
- #3 Seed will host a Quarterfinal match against the team seeded 4-6 that is closest to them geographically. The remaining two teams will play each other with the higher seed hosting.
- Semifinals & Final to be held at one venue voted upon by Midwest Region club owners; home teams are determined by the highest seed in each match
- Top 6 teams qualify
- South Region
- Heartland Conference Playoffs
- Top 4 teams qualify based on regular season PPG
- Lone Star Conference Playoffs
- Conference is split into 3 groups
- Red Group: Fort Worth Vaqueros FC, Midland-Odessa Sockers FC, Tyler FC
- White Group: FC Brownsville, Houston Regals SCA, Laredo Heat SC
- Blue Group: Dutch Lions FC, Katy 1895 FC, Shreveport Rafters FC
- Top 2 teams from each group receive playoff berths
- Top team in each group will be seeded 1-3 based on regular season PPG, 2nd place in each group will be seeded 4-6 based on regular season PPG
- Conference is split into 3 groups
