{{requested move/dated|Quadient}}

[[:Neopost]] → {{no redirect|Quadient}} – This company has officially changed its name and now trades under the name "Quadient." This request should be non-controversial, but as I have a COI, when I submitted a proposal for an independent editor to update the article with the new name, they asked that I submit a "request move." All the sourcing, as well as updates to the text that are required (e.g. new stock symbol, new logo, new company name in the lead) can be found at: [[Talk:Neopost#Requested Edit]] After the move is done, I will resubmit the Request Edits for the updates in the text and/or I would be grateful if any editor would review the naming-related updates at this time. Is this company notable for any reason? Thedreamdied 22:13, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are well-known, direct, international competitors of e.g. Pitney Bowes though less present in North America. Notable enough to stay in my opinion. -- VonBlinkendenzwoelf (talk) 11:56, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Edit

I work for Quadient, which was formerly called Neopost until September 23rd, 2019. Quadient, an international company, is publicly traded and a Component B of Euronext Paris (the French stock market), and part of the SBF 120 and CAC Mid 60 stock indices, the 120 largest companies on the French stock exchange. I’d like to suggest the following updates to this article:

Extended content

1. Please substitute the new name of the company. “Quadient”[1][2] instead of “Neopost” in the following locations:

a. Please MOVE the entire article to a new title “Quadient” to reflect its new name.

b. Sentence one of the second paragraph, beginning: “With a direct presence in 29 countries and close to 5,800 employees, Neopost reported annual sales”

c. Title of the Infobox: replace “Neopost S.A." with “Quadient”

2. Please substitute the first paragraph as follows:

Please remove: “Neopost was the name of a global technology provider of digital communications, shipping and mail solutions. Neopost is now known as Quadient. Neopost provides products ranging from physical mail processing systems (mailing systems and folders-inserters) to digital communications management (Customer Communications Management and Data Quality applications), as well as supply chain and e-commerce process optimization solutions, from point of sale to delivery, including associated tracking services.”

Please substitute it with: "Quadient, (founded in 1924 as Neopost), is a company that originally specialized in mail-related solutions. Its business evolved over the years from being a manufacturer of franking machines and mailroom equipment to a portfolio that includes business process automation, customer experience management, and parcel locker solutions.[3]"

Comment - the current lead is sourced only to the company About page. The newly proposed lead is sourced to Le Figaro, a prominent editorial publication.

3. Please substitute the sentence as follows:

Please remove the following sentence from the third paragraph of the lead: “Neopost is listed in compartment A of Euronext Paris and belongs to the SBF 120 index. [4] Neopost name change source. [5]"

Please substitute the following in its place: "Quadient is a company listed on the Euronext Paris market (Compartment B)[6]. Its stock is part of the SBF 120 index under the mnemonic code QDT.[7]"

Comment: substitutes secondary sources for primary source. Updates out-of-date information.

4. Please add a new item to the bottom of the list of the section entitled “History”:

  • 2019 The company was renamed Quadient [8][9]

5. Update the Infobox as follows:

a. In the Infobox, please remove the old “logo = Neopost logo.svg”. Please substitute the new “logo = “Quadient logo tagline RGB.png”

b. In the Infobox, please remove the old stock symbol: “traded_as = EuronextNEO” And substitute the new stock symbol: “traded_as = EuronextQDT[10]

6. In the Infobox, remove the following part in the “Key People” section:

Remove “Denis Thiery (Chairman) and” Indeed, this information is outdated: https://investir.lesechos.fr/actions/actualites/neopost-le-president-denis-thiery-va-ceder-sa-place-a-didier-lamouche-1844601.php

7. Please remove the following section because it has no source:

Research and development

Neopost dedicates between 4 and 5% of its revenue to research and development every year.
More than 300 people, who come from various cultures and fields of expertise, work on future generations of systems, software, infrastructures and networks linked to mail management.[citation needed]

8. Please remove the following section and subsections because they have no sources:

Sustainable development

Eco design

All production sites and distribution subsidiaries have ISO 14001 certification with respect to environmental performance and OHSAS 18001 with respect to health and safety.[citation needed]
Neopost has created an eco-design guide that lays out rules for environmentally friendly design for every new project by all its research and development entities.
The IS mailing systems range is the first resulting from this new scheme. Its performance has been improved substantially compared with the previous generation: 10% reduction in materials used in production, 40% reduction in machine weight and 50% reduction in electricity usage in standby mode.[citation needed]

Eco label

The Eco Label specification defines environmental performance standard for Neopost hardware products, including Document Systems, Postage Meters, Address Printers, and any other hardware products sold by Neopost.
The Eco Label specification includes key concepts to achieve reduction or elimination of environmental impacts. This includes the use of environmentally sensitive material, material selection and raw material consideration, weight reduction, packaging, energy conservation, life cycle extension (also called remanufacturing), end-of-life management.

Open innovation

Neopost Labs has been created in 2014 by Philippe Boulanger, the Chief Technology Officer of Neopost, to support the open innovation strategy of Neopost Group.[citation needed] Neopost Labs is in connection with the entire startups ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators and investment funds.

9. In the Infobox:

a. Please replace the corporate website external link with: https://www.quadient.com/

b. Please delete the following external links: “USA”, “Canada”, “UK”, “Ireland”, “Australia”. None of these are needed since there is an existing link to the corporate website.

10. Add the following sources to the "History" section:

  • 1924 Founding of Neopost Limited (United Kingdom)[11]
  • 1929 Founding of SMH, Société des Machines Havas (France)[12]
  • 1930 Acquisition of Neopost By Roneo (United Kingdom)[13]
  • 1970 Acquisition by C.G.E. of SMH-Adrex (France)[14]
  • 1979 Acquisition by C.G.E of Friden (United States)[15]
  • 1980 Aquisition by C.G.E. of Roneo and Hadewe (United Kingdom and Netherlands)[16]
  • 1992 Foundation of Neopost Group[17]
  • 1997 A group of investors, advised by BC Partners and in association with management, took control of Neopost[18]
  • 1999 Neopost was floated on the Premier Marché of Euronext Paris on 23 February at a price of €15 per share[19]
  • 2002 Acquisition of Stielow and Hasler (Germany and Switzerland)[20]
  • 2003 Neopost completed the integration of companies acquired in 2002, sold Stielow’s non-core label printing and print finishing businesses, and strengthened its operating structures[21]
  • 2006 To enhance its international profile, the Group adopted a new visual identity and tagline “We value your mail” at the beginning of 2006[22]
  • 2009 Neopost enhanced its service offering with the acquisition of Satori Software, one of the world market leaders in postal address quality management tools[23]

Requested move 4 May 2020

NeopostQuadient – This company has officially changed its name and now trades under the name "Quadient." This request should be non-controversial, but as I have a COI, when I submitted a proposal for an independent editor to update the article with the new name, they asked that I submit a "request move." All the sourcing, as well as updates to the text that are required (e.g. new stock symbol, new logo, new company name in the lead) can be found at: Talk:Neopost#Requested Edit After the move is done, I will resubmit the Request Edits for the updates in the text and/or I would be grateful if any editor would review the naming-related updates at this time.
