On the iOS table listing current and last compatible iOS, the last iOS listed on some of the iPhones is incorrect, specifically the iPhone 5S. It currently says that the last iOS is 12.4.1 but it's actually 12.4.8. I do not know how to edit tables. CodingIt (talk) 00:37, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 14:31, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you add November 7 after 2004 of when the whole idea of iPhones started? I have found it at a link https://www.cio.com/article/3236171/is-the-iphone-the-best-project-in-history.html. Please reply. 95.175.85.38 (talk) 02:05, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That source is a marketing post, so it's not an ideal source. We already mention Development of what was to become the iPhone began in 2004. – Thjarkur (talk) 09:43, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you add November 7 at "Development of what was to become the iPhone began in November 7, 2004, when Apple started to gather a team of 1,000 employees (including Jonathan Ive, the designer behind the iMac and iPod)? 95.175.85.38 (talk) 13:54, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Not without a reliable source (the reliability of the source you supplied above having been rejected for the reason stated) which, despite repeated instruction at User talk:95.175.85.38, you have not supplied. Largoplazo (talk) 14:34, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Extremely bloated infobox in mobile view

On the mobile website of this article the infobox is extremely long and bloated because of all the CPU/display/connectivity etc. info it lists for each iPhone. On desktop view these are collapsible so it looks clean but it doesn't exist on mobile. On mobile you really have to scroll a lot just to get to the second paragraph. Is there a way around this? Does collapsible lists exist for mobile website? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dialbost (talkcontribs) 13:25, 3 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The launch pricing for the 12 Pro is incorrect in the "History and availability" section.

It is currently listed as:

$999/$1149/$1349
Max:$1099/$1249/1449

when it should be

$999/$1099/$1299
Max:$1099/$1199/1399

In the Models section... Change iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini to not bold as neither are flagship models. 205.132.171.177 (talk) 17:03, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. The precedent from last year seems to be to keep all of the latest generation bolded. The iPhone 11 was bolded along with the iPhone 11 Pro models, therefore, we should keep the precedent with all the iPhone 12 models being bolded. Herbfur (talk) 18:00, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What? The iPhone 11 wasn't a flagship either. Only the Pro models are flagship. 19:58, 15 October 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.132.171.177 (talk)
This is the 4th year in a row that Apple has released a mid-range and flagship phone at the same time.
2017 - 8 and X
2018 - Xr and Xs
2019 - 11 and 11 Pro
2020 - 12 and 12 Pro

205.132.171.177 (talk) 20:03, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's the whole point. The precedent on earlier versions of this article in this situation has all of the models of the latest generation bolded, higher end or not. Therefore, we should stick with the precedent. Herbfur (talk) 22:06, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you look back in the revision history to the previous times you mentioned, the precedent has always been to bold all of the models. Herbfur (talk) 22:10, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what flagship means. It means the top-of-the-line. iPhone 12 is not top of the line, iPhone mini is even further down the lineup.
You are making the argument that because you drive a Mercedes E-Class you drive the flagship. A-Class is the base model, C-Class & E-Class are mid-range and S-Class is the flagship. Same thing here, iPhone SE is the base model; Xr, 11 & 12 are all mid-range, 12 Pro is the flagship.
Perhaps if you don't understand what flagship means, you should skip this and let someone else review it. 205.132.171.177 (talk) 22:39, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Partly done As compromise, I've changed "flagship" to "current generation". Herbfur (talk) 22:48, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
