Sometimes I sit and look at an article I have created or worked on. Just staring into the screen and admiring the article's beauty, it gives me a feeling. A joyful feeling that comes when others read the articles I wrote. That happiness is the only reward I get from here!

Hello my dear colleagues! I'm Kashmorwiki aka Kichu, a wikipedia volunteer from the South Indian state of Kerala. I prefer other users to call me Kichu, as it is my real life nickname. It was in 2019 that I started to make some edits as an IP user in my free time as a hobby. But now, spending the majority of my time in this project has become a part of my daily life and I still learns a lot of stuffs from here everyday. Its more about the many things that can be done with this sensational freeencyclopedia that makes me love it. Today, I'm really happy and proud to contribute to this wonderful world of knowledge .
I originally created an account only to make contributions to Indian football related articles and still serves as a major contributor for Wikiproject Indian football. I gradually learned more stuffs, obtained some important rights and now mostly volunteer at WikiProject Articles for creation (AFC), where my main focus is to reduce the backlog on Wikiproject Football (where I'm pretty good) and Wikiproject India related AFC submissions. I also reviews the drafts related to companies/corporates, where most of them are basically written only for the promotional purpose. Deleting the non notable articles, especially the above mentioned promotional ones is one of my main missions. Thats the reason I am a major participant at Wikiproject India deletion sorting. I also have the new page reviewer rights which I mostly use to review the football, India and Indian films related articles.

A summary of my journey in wikipedia
Thanks to Covid 19 Pandemic, I first started editing as IP user when boredom hit me at its peak. That time, I did not had any idea how this encyclopedia works. When I found that the quality of the Indian football related articles were below average, I decided to make some changes and started giving a try. Today, I am one among the few active editors of WikiProject Indian football task force. Soon, I took interest in creating articles for some of the famous elephants in Kerala and started editing in articles on Malayalam film industry.
One of the best thing I did other than being a member of Indian football task force was joining the counter vandalism unit. Interestingly, I happened to notice plenty of vandalism happening in Kerala politics related articles in February 2020 because of the 2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly election in the next month. After fighting plenty of vandalism there, somehow, I also started editing in those articles and soon became a member of Wikiproject Indian politics. By that time, I was also granted the rollback rights. I also found out that plenty of articles exists in this encyclopedia about some non notable politians, completely written for promotional purpose. So, throwing out these thrashes away became one my major missions and most of my AFD nominations were succesful.
I gradually started participating in the AFD discussions on other topics also, especially in Wikiproject India deletion sorting. This does not implies I am a deletionist because I also rescues articles for the article rescue squadron.
In March 2021, I was allowed to be a member of WikiProject Articles for creation (AFC) and started reviewing the drafts submitted for creation.
My parents always asks me why I spent so much time on wikipedia and what will I get from it. The answer is simple. I just enjoy it. Just started for a timepass, this encyclopedia has now become a part of my life! And I'm proud of it
