Better retarget this to The Grandmother (film), a different film. We do have the The Grandmother (1970 film) redirect already, and it looks like the primary topic is the 1981 film? ~~~~
User:1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 18:13, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Disambiguate. The Grandmother has a hatnote which mentions two different films, and (movie) is a terrible qualifier (much like (footballer) and (soccer) as a way of distinguishing between people, or the presence or absence of a stop after a personal initial). Retarget this to the proposed DAB page as {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. Narky Blert (talk) 19:31, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Narky Blert: the 1970 film is the David Lynch film: there are only two films and a hatnote will do. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:09, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget to The Grandmother (film) which has a hatnote to the current target. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:09, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget to The Grandmother (film). I
cancan't think of any situations where it is desirable for (film) and (movie) to lead to different places. Thryduulf (talk) 12:06, 10 July 2021 (UTC)- @Thryduulf You can? ~~~~

Secular politics

- Secular politics → Secularism (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
After a poorly-attended discussion in 2015 at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 February 11#Secular politics, secular politics was retargetted from politics to secularism.
I am bringing this redirect up again for discussion, because in the open discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:E-960 topic ban violations (started 7 July 2021) at least two editors have queried the appropriateness of the current target - which affects the scope of a WP:TBAN. I am not involved in that ANI discussion, and have nothing to say there or here about it.
Secular politics is tagged as {{R with possibilities}}. One answer would be to write the article, which I do not feel competent to do.
Secular is a redirect to secularity. From the DAB page secular (disambiguation), I can see no other current possibilities for the target of secular politics than secularism or secularity. The ledes of those two articles make it clear that they are related but distinct concepts. I therefore open this discussion (with a weak preference for retargetting to secularity). Narky Blert (talk) 16:58, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- (I'm one of the editors who questioned the target at ANI) What about redirecting it to the DAB page? I think that would be my first choice preference, second choice being to retarget to secularity (so support). The DAB page could be improved by listing both secularity and secularism and writing a brief description of each that would tell the reader the difference. Levivich 17:54, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Retargetting to the DAB page secular (disambiguation) as {{R from incomplete disambiguation}} would be fine by me. I don't think either of the targets I named would be ideal. Narky Blert (talk) 19:17, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

It's not clear that the moniker "disco-pop" exclusively refers to this subgenre, and is not mentioned at the target. Delete unless a justification can be provided. Note that redirects at this title have been twice deleted at RfD, although those were pointing to a section of Disco. signed, Rosguill talk 15:52, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Delete. Ambiguous and likely to cause confusion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:11, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Not mentioned at the target, unlikely search term of minimal utility, delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 15:39, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Delete to allow search to do its thing. If kept, the least bad target is probably Turkish cuisine#Cheeses. Certes (talk) 15:54, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:XY. This could either be the topic suggested by Certes, or a distinctly non-kosher foodstuff. Narky Blert (talk) 19:34, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Keep, turkey and cheese is a common sandwich order. Turkish cheese is a different thing. UserTwoSix (talk) 21:03, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Comment See Ham and cheese UserTwoSix (talk) 21:21, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Entirely different. Ham and cheese redirects to Ham sandwich which has a section Ham sandwich#Ham and cheese sandwich. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:16, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Then there should be a Turkey sandwich with a "Turkey and cheese" section. UserTwoSix (talk) 03:21, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Entirely different. Ham and cheese redirects to Ham sandwich which has a section Ham sandwich#Ham and cheese sandwich. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:16, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

- Delete as ambiguous. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:12, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Disambiguate between the sandwich and cheese from Turkey. BD2412 T 22:52, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Where do we link the sandwich entry? Sandwich has no WP:DABMENTION. The combination appears in specific sandwiches such as Melt sandwich and Sloppy joe (New Jersey), and in non-bread foods such as Turkey Tetrazzini and Chili con carne#White chili, but they may not be what someone ordering "turkey and cheese" would expect to receive. Certes (talk) 23:55, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:XY. Oppose any mention of Turkish cheese, the poultry is the clear primary topic over the country in the "X and cheese" construction, since that is simply not how we title articles on national cuisines. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 06:44, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- Delete per King of Hearts and others above. WP:XY clearly applies here. CycloneYoris talk! 23:17, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
