External links modified
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Magnavox Odyssey. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Once again I am tardy on another review, but I will take this on as well. Indrian (talk) 00:06, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
- I do have a question, whenever you get around to this review (no rush): there's been a trend lately to rename some of the console articles based on their marketing a bit- Sega Genesis is still there, as the logo had both words, but Master System dropped the "Sega". Should this article drop the "Magnavox", and just be the "Odyssey" that was made by Magnavox? I'm torn, because nothing else but consoles really uses that manufacturer + title naming convention, but it also seems to be a little bit of historical revisionism due to the fact that the common language around consoles changed after the fifth generation (other than PlayStation) to pretty much never use the company in the name. What do you think? --PresN 01:46, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- For what my opinion is worth, I think the title should stay as-is, primarily because it really seems to be the console's common name, and also because it is a comfortable WP:PRECISION balance. I know the "full name" is more common in contemporary sources anyway. Entering "Odyssey console" doesn't have much use. Too bad the review isn't done yet, by the way - I was actually planning to do it myself half a month ago until I saw Indrian had reserved it ^_^; ~Mable (chat) 18:25, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
Sorry once again for the delay. I have given the article a thorough copyedit and made a couple of corrections. There is only one issue remaining: the one-time $700,000 Atari settlement is an untruth propagated by Bushnell. Business is Fun reveals the true settlement deal, backed by a copy of the actual settlement document reproduced in the book. Once this is fixed, we are good to go, so I will place this On hold. As for the name, I think "Magnavox Odyssey" is the most common rendering, so I would leave it as is. Indrian (talk) 20:29, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Indrian: Bushnell? Exaggerate something in his favor in a misleading way? Color me shocked. Tracked down the settlement in Atari Inc and added it to the article- 1.5 million and access to everything Atari produced for a year, not quite the same thing as a 700k one-time payment. --PresN 20:51, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- And promoted. Indrian (talk) 21:14, 24 May 2016 (UTC)

Cartridge
Admins keep deleting the fact that Magnavox Odyssey was the first console in the world and US using cartridges. Yes it did not contain ROM cartridge but it was a cartridge either way. In EU such console came out in 1975 - Interton Video 2000 . Allstone (talk) 06:11, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
