Should Chile be considered as part of the Pink tide considering Gabriel Boric's victory 2001:56A:F4D9:B000:DCA9:E982:4F63:7936 (talk) 19:18, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pink tidePink tides – Several authors consider that we have experienced more than one "tide" of pink, with at least one from lat 90s early 2000s, later interrupted by the Conservative wave, and then followed by at least a second pink tide in more recente years. • But it explicitly allows for plural titles if the article is about "a group of distinct entities that are nevertheless often considered together". The question is, are the two tides distinct to each other, and are they grouped together in general parlance? (Not supporting or opposing, but wanting to clarify how PLURAL is to be interpreted here). — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 05:40, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In this case I assume it's talking about the concept of a "pink tide". Even if there are multiple ones, it remains a similar concept and should be singular. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 21:00, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciated. I just was tired of seeing people citing policy shortcuts in RMs without actually forming an argument or evidence supporting or opposing a move. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 15:58, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New pink tide

The portuguese article pt:Nova guinada à esquerda already exists, in case anyone wants to translate it. I've added some content today (there was just one paragraph before), and it is now worth translating. --Bageense(disc.) 04:44, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that a new pink tide needs to be acknowledge, either as a separate section in this article, moving this article's name or creating a new article altogether can be up for discussion. TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 10:13, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Change of map

Shouldn't we mark Colombia red since recently inaugurated Gustavo Petro's Historic Pact for Colombia is a member of Sao Paulo Forum? I'm asking because I see no one is doing it yet. 91.150.125.252 (talk) 02:41, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Brazil should be changed to red

Following the Lula victory in yesterday's elections, the 2023 map should be changed to reflect this (Brazil should be red). -HandIsNotNookls (talk) 15:36, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We usually only change the colours when they take office and hold power. Lula doesn't come into power until 2023. Xiomara Castro and Gabriel Boric won 2021 elections but the map was not changed until 2022, when those two took office. Similarly, Gustavo Petro won a June election but Colombia was only coloured in in August, when he took office. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 19:49, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Maps description

Hello dear people,

could someone add the year the map shows directly INTO the pictures?

As it is now, the subtitle/description ( "left, middle, right" ) unfortunately leaves viewers using mobile phones to guess/ forces them to go to each image file page separately to find out for sure (which one depicts which year's situation). This is not only the case in official "mobile view" mode but also (different from what it was like before the very unfortunate change made in the desktop view) when using "desktop view" on a phone :-( . They seem to never align all horizontally. So, guessing might have an accurate outcome anyway, but whoever wants to be sure, has to do these (two to) three extra steps - for most people they are surely doable, but it could be made so much easier :-)

Of course the content of/ the informations given in the article(s) (text(s)) is the most important and I am very grateful for this/ those! :-) --but maybe someone with the skill feels in the mood to do viewers a favor ;-D
