I can't think of a way to find a reliable source; unless you're using someone else's published work (which might well be a copyright violation), synthesis of a list of differences is original research. Deltabeignet 21:23, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Bold text
[edit]Hi. Please see my edit to your post to see how to create bold text. For more info, please see Help:Edit#Most_frequent_wiki_markup_explained. Cheers. Xiner (talk, email) 15:45, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I see. Well, I think it was because you had two single-apostrophes before the word "Wooo" and three of them after the word, so the software got confused. Xiner (talk, email) 15:50, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I saw you did edits to Sigma Chi and list our public motto in your userpage. I wanted to know if you were a brother. If so you should add the sigma chi userbox to your page, it will allow other sigs on wikipedia to see your a sig(if you are). in hoc. Acidskater 17:29, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
West Virginia
[edit]Good point, I have changed the link per your suggestion. In the US, in addition tot he US Supreme Court, each state also has a similar court of last resort, usually called a "Supreme Court." The link helps keep things clear, especially for younger readers working on a civics report for school or whanot. Cymru am byth. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 16:49, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
It's Greek to me!
[edit]You have a good question at Talk:Alpha beta ... omega. It is incredibly unlikely someone would type that in, correctly. I wonder if it would make any sense as the target/result of a search? Wow, the things you find ... Shenme 05:10, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Alas, sometimes a gnome is regretful. Did you by any chance try entering a couple of those Greek letter names in as a search? If you had picked a couple, that weren't a fraternity name (and using only one would have taken you to the page for that letter), one of the first 'hits' would have been that page. Clicking would then have redirected to Greek Alphabet. Which... was useful, I think, for someone with no idea what "upsilon theta" was, it might be nice to have. sigh. I wonder what to do? Shenme 03:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, they do it a little differently there, I think. To be honest, I don't really know that much about it but that's where it would go. Recury 15:30, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]I really appreciate that. :) Shock site has been a thankless endeavor. It's nice to know the WP community supports me. Mangojuicetalk 13:08, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Bear Bryant Fansite Template
[edit]I removed the Fansite template you placed on this article. It looks like the article has been cleaned up considerably since you applied the template, would you mind taking a look and see if it still needs clean up? Cogswobble 15:38, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, but it wasn't me who cleaned it up. I only only noticed it. It looks like Purpledonkey did most of it. Cogswobble 23:32, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
here is the only place where information is maintained by the school= http://loyno.edu/dannacenter/greek/chapters.php?action=view&org_id=132
Do you have any more suggestions to make it more NPOV? Samwisep86 02:26, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Being a local is an interesting situation. I have been fair to the best of my knowledge in writing the article tho. Most of the collaborating sources are contained in the Uni. newspaper. Samwisep86 07:40, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:USPS_Newman.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:USPS_Newman.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ElinorD (talk) 12:15, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Just because someone is a Significant Sig, that does not mean they are notable enough to be mentioned on wikipedia. Whoever put him up there should be able to provide a valid reason why he is notable enough and also provide sources for his notability. Acidskater (talk) 04:05, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have no clue what is with this guy and getting Gallienti on the list. I mean, the guy can't even figure out that its alphabetical order, how is he going to understand notability rules? I'm tired of dealing with things like this, so my best suggestion would be take it to a discussion somewhere with an administrator. Acidskater (talk) 08:28, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Your G22 map
[edit]In looking at your map here Image:G22countries.png, I noticed that China is not shaded as it should be. Could you fix that? Thanks. —OverMyHead 23:00, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- I altered it accrdingly: commons:Image:G22countries.png. Is that good enough? -- Cat chi? 10:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Fantastic. Thanks. —OverMyHead 14:23, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (File:SchoolsFirst-logo.jpg)
[edit]You've uploaded File:SchoolsFirst-logo.jpg, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. WikiProject Wildfire
[edit]Hello! I have recently started a new WikiProject and am trying to recruit new members. The project, WikiProject Wildfire, focuses on articles that relate to wildfires. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. From updating templates, to classifying and improving articles. Any level of commitment is welcome! If you care to just add some input on the founding of the new project, awesome. If you would like to take an active role in editing articles, that is awesome as well! Knowledge of wildfires is NOT a prerequisite for joining the project. In fact, it would be great to have some members of the project who are NOT fire-buffs. That way we make sure that articles aren't just written by and for people in the fire community. If this is something you have any interest in, I would love to have you join the project! Please feel free to join the discussion or leave me a message on my talk page. (Note that you are receiving this message from me because I saw you made multiple edits on a wildfire related page, specifically Gap Fire. Not just spamming you at random.) Hope you have a great day!
