Hi. In Military of New France, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Native Indian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikipedia:WikiProject Normandy etc

[edit]

Hi. I see you created the pages Wikipedia:WikiProject Normandy, Wikipedia:WikiProject Norman history and Wikipedia:WikiProject Norman language (which were links from Portal:Normandy), filling them with leads from their main namespace counterparts. I was wondering - are you planning on turning these into actual WikiProjects? If not, then the content placed in them is in the incorrect (Project) namespace and would be subject to speedy deletion.

If you are turning these into WikiProjects, then please feel free to read this guideline to help you create them. As a personal suggestion, I think you should just start with Wikipedia:WikiProject Normandy and see if there is enough interest in that one and then perhaps create the other 2 later as Taskforces, as I see that the other WikiProjects of WikiProject Kingdom of France and WikiProject New France never got off the ground. Please get in contact if you wish to ask anything. Cheers, Zangar (talk) 12:49, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Normandy, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Normandy and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject Normandy during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Zangar (talk) 15:39, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Normandy

[edit]

Hi, well done for getting the project off the ground, I reckon that the scope is broad yet specialised enough to be quite successful. To help you along your way, I've placed a request for an advert in Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost, stating that this is a new project and is open to invite new members. (So you may want to spruce up the page before it goes to press next week - but feel free to ask for the ad to be held back if you would like a little more time).

If you agree with the merging of the other two projects, I'll leave that up to you - I think that was the rough consensus that was emerging from the MfD.

You may like to be aware of the recognised content listing, automatically generated by the bot User:JL-Bot, this might be good for the "Articles" section. Please feel free to look at how I implemented it at WikiProject Cornwall, or if you would like me to set it up for your project, please ask! I do wish you luck with this project! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Flag of Lévis, Quebec has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:N. No reputable sources present, in fact the only source on the fringe of reputability is FOTW, which is more of a wiki site. I just do not see this article expanding much past the stub phase and I do not believe any sources are present to cite the limited information it provides.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
