The Last Waltz

[edit]

Can you please provide references for the quotes attributed to Ronnie Wood and Bob Dylan that were added to The Last Waltz article? They are interesting additions, but need to have proper citations in order for the article to retain its current status as a "good article." — WiseKwai 19:22, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, will need to dig out the books I found them in - Should have them cited by tomorrow. Nsign 12:18, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to remove these quotes because they were never cited, then I saw your account was active again. If you can, please document them. ThatSaved (talk) 21:58, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quantum of Solace

[edit]

See WP:UNDUE. What Wikipedia does is explain what the title means. Everybody is going to have different views on a title, but ultimately it is a trivial issue, and is completely out-of-place in the Development section. Alientraveller (talk) 12:29, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heya,

[edit]

In an attempt to get past the impasse that has been reached re the capitalisation of I in intro on the Star Trek into Darkness article, I have created two additional sub-sections where users can put their for/against argument comments in without getting caught up in Beating a dead horse. These sections are purely for providing reasons and not for arguing back and forth, although discussions are welcome to continue in the above section. If you could come and give your view that would be great. MisterShiney 21:13, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I certainly will - thanks for your assistance. Nsign (talk) 14:15, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

[edit]
The Teamwork Barnstar
In particular for the ongoing discussion on Star Trek into Darkness regarding a pesky little I. At the end of the day, it may not have been resolved but we all did work together to try and get it sorted, even if we did feel at times we were banging our heads on our desks and calling our computer screens idiots. MisterShiney 14:35, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Much appreciated :) Nsign (talk) 16:17, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

STFU

[edit]

Every comment you post, particularly the comments that claim the title is now "correct", are just unnecessarily antagonistic. Stop following me around Wikipedia and giving me advice. You got what you wanted, so now shut the fuck up about it. -- Scjessey (talk) 16:03, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me but I will post when and where I like and you are in no position to lecture anyone on being "antagonistic". So fuck the fuck off. Nsign (talk) 16:19, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Skyfall

[edit]
Nsign, see WP:HOUND. And while we are on the subject, leave SchroCat alone. Your comments on the Skyfall talk page have been nothing but uncivil and rude. -- CassiantoTalk 17:22, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Mind your own business. I'm quite familiar with wikipedia policies and, if you haven't noticed, SchroCat has been historically been accused by several previous editors of aggressively policing and trying to own the Skyfall page, which leads me to believe there is no smoke without fire regarding his current conduct. This also now includes violating an existing RFC, editing other user's posts (pretty sure that's not allowed?), and attempting to deploy a straw man on the dispute resolution page. Now, I requested the current dispute resolution and have tried to state clearly on the Skyfall talk page (its there in black and white, if you care to look) that I will be quite content for it to play out without rehashing old arguments. SchroCat has been unable to heed this and seems intent on continually posting argumentative statements without ever advancing a credible case for violating the RFC and trying to have the last word. Sorry and all that, but I'm not having it, so you go and have a word with him if you want to do something useful. Nsign (talk) 18:26, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That being said - I will as requested refrain from making further "uncivil" comments (if SchroCat can reciprocate), in the spirit of moving this forward to a satisfactory resolution. Nsign (talk) 19:25, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There are major WP:OWN issues with the Skyfall page and also instances of 3RR occurring multiple times. I appreciate you addressing this through DR. I'd comment there but it doesn't seem like a forum that allows nonparticipants to comment. Glad to see I'm not the only one irritated by persistent reverts of most edits (outside of those done by a small group of users) to that particular article. It seems like some editors believe that this article is written in stone, never to be altered. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 12:19, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Its possible that a new RFC will be opened shortly, which I'd rather avoid as I think it'll just be a repeat of the previous one, but if there is you can comment there. Thanks. Nsign (talk) 12:53, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is my business; in fact, its all of our business. We are all members of the community and I am entitled to post wherever I want. SchroCat has done nothing wrong and it is largely thanks to him that we have Skyfall at the kind of quality that its at. It certainly isn't thanks to your poxy five edits. -- CassiantoTalk 22:03, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As am I. And trying to close down a legitimate debate over an RFC violation by "requesting" that I stop posting comments or being a nasty man to an obdurate editor who has committed the above actions won't hold any water with me, old chap. Oh, and you should try avoiding sinking your own boat by claiming others are using uncivil language while simultaneously describing their edits as "poxy" and calling them "stupid". You both need to grow thicker skins. Nsign (talk) 08:25, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
