Tagging articles

[edit]

Hello and thank you for your contributions to articles. May I ask that when you place cleanup tags in articles will you please make sure that the tags meet the case - e.g. in Philippine Sea you placed a tag {{empty section}} on a section that wasn't empty, and another {{unreferenced section}} when it did give a reference. Another point is that the date on a tag should always be the month when it was placed (at present March 2016) - you dated one tag as 1999, which is before Wikipedia even started: Noyster (talk), 01:11, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Hippopotomontrosesquipedalian

[edit]

Hello Synthelabobabe21,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hippopotomontrosesquipedalian for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. JSFarman (talk) 03:02, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Problems with the Article requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Tagging articles (again)

[edit]

Further to my message above (Tagging articles), unfortunately you are still doing this - you added three extra tags to Proximus dated 2001, 2002 and 2003, where they should of course have been dated March 2016. Also at least two of the tags did not apply: {{Refimprove}} was redundant to the existing tag {{unreferenced}}, and there was nothing in the article to justify your {{advert}} tag. If you continue to tag articles inappropriately and with wrong dates, I fear it will be regarded as Disruptive editing. If you need further explanation just state below and I will try to help: Noyster (talk), 21:58, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Rip in Peperonis

[edit]

The article Rip in Peperonis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 01:01, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Rip in Peperonis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Information icon Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Lincoln (2012 film), even if you intend to fix them later. Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Turkey (bird). Your edits have been or will be reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. The two tags you placed were not applicable and, as before, were not dated correctly. : Noyster (talk), 10:43, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Unilever, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Durham. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Synthelabobabe21, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
