Platonic is an upcoming American comedy streaming television series created by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco that is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on May 24, 2023.[1][2]

Production
Development
On October 15, 2020, Apple TV+ gave the production a series order consisting of 10 half-hour long episodes.[1] The series is created by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco who are also expected executive produced alongside Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen, and Conor Welch.[4] Stoller Global Solutions and Sony Pictures Television are producing the series.[5][6] Stoller is also set to direct the series.[6]
Casting
Upon series order announcement, Byrne and Rogen were also cast in undisclosed starring roles.[7] On May 5, 2022, Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Carla Gallo, and Andrew Lopez joined the main cast.[3] On June 29, 2022, Alisha Wainwright, Guy Branum, Janet Varney, Emily Kimball, and Vinny Thomas were cast in recurring roles.[8]
Filming
Filming began by May 2022, with production taking place in Los Angeles.[9]
Release
Platonic is scheduled to be released on Apple TV+ on May 24, with the first three episodes available immediately and the rest releasing on a weekly basis until July 12.[2]
