Untitled
The chicken man was a "peaceful British protestor" and was physically tackled by TVB staff as he tried to subvert a news report. He did not deliberately cause any physical unrest. It convincible that Chicken Man was not intentional to fight any one. In fact, he interfered the news report and TVB crew members try to restrain him. He gone a bit nervous and shoved a female journalist. Finally, he was tackled by TVB staff. Police had been tried to conciliate Chicken Man.

Please create a Disambiguation page
I have added something about TVB School of Habitat Studies, a landmark case in corruption and the Delhi Master Plan issues. The college was shut down because of several malpractices. It is a significant case in the history of Indian architecture academics, barring perhaps just the malpractices and abuse in the name of wikipedia by one architect Sabu Francis.
But I don't know how to create disambiguation pages. Could you help? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.162.199.28 (talk) 17:39, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Good Article nomination has failed
The Good article nomination for TVB has failed, for the following reason:
- The lead section is much too long for the size of the article - it should be two or three short paragraphs. Also, half the article is lists, which need to be converted into prose. Worldtraveller 13:15, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Adding Actors & Actresses
When adding new actors and actresses, please add them on in alphabetical order by last name. If the actor/actress goes by their Chinese name, please list the first name then last. For example, for the actor 黎諾懿 ( LAI, Lok Yi ) where the last name is LAI, please add to list as Lok Yi Lai instead of Lai Lok Yi, and alphabetize by the Lai, not Yi. Thank you. smileydude66 05:56, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Include the deceased of Actors & Actresses
Can anyone list the deceased actors and actresses of TVB?
Notable shows from TVB???
A topic such as this is undoubtedly going to attract POV, but the current bias toward new series approaches ridiculous. Shows like 大唐雙龍傳 and 我的野蠻奶奶 are mentioned while such shows as 輪流轉 (even poor ratings and cancellation are notable!), 誓不低頭, 天地豪情, 最美麗的第七天, 十兄弟 and 真情 are comitted. I didn't add them because I think the topic as such is dangerous enough already, and I'm not old enough to remember many notable older shows, but I'd like to hear some comments on this issue.

Lists
Should the actors/actresses list (and maybe notable shows) be split off to a different page? Skyezx (talk) 07:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
In the Chinese version of the article, there has been little mention on "the drama cliche" subject to traditional media criticism but has not been translated into the English article. There has also been no mention on representation of TV personalities (lack of race/class/gender representations in response to different socio-political climates in Hong Kong). There has been absolutely no mention on its approach to current events, changes to the late night news time slot and content. There is also no evaluation on the station's general public disapproval as of June 2009 where members of the public were holding signs in protest of the station (4th June 2009 / 1st July 2009) and events following. There should also be a critique on TVB's general manager's public response as "respect for the freedom of speech" while most material available on youtube (including edited footage) were removed as a result of "copyright infringement". As mentioned by another user, this article looks like it came straight out of PR/press release with intentional discredit for other media platforms operating in Hong Kong.

Requested move
Television Broadcasts Limited → TVB – "TVB" is much more common than "Television Broadcasts Limited", and "Television Broadcasts Limited" frequently named its products after "TVB". UU (talk) 17:50, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Ownership/control of TVB
Who owns and controls TVB? I think this is a very important issue, especially in the light of the accusations of self-censorship presented in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.7.149.19 (talk) 02:26, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just watch shows like News magazine (新聞透視). When that show is permanently off the air or stops criticising the HK or mainland government, or the contents are really watered down... TVB is officially no longer a real HK station. Simple as that. Benjwong (talk) 04:19, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ben, I wouldn't bet against that, but do you have something to back you up? For outsiders who haven't witnessed the development of TVB and aTV since 1997 it is hard to say how much they've been harmonised. On paper, HK enjoys full freedom of the press, but I think that's written into the Mainland constitution, as well. You know what I mean? 207.7.149.19 (talk) 05:14, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

old 2000s video
I have a May 2004 TVB news video which is recorded in Shanghai, but I don’t know where the sources of this video came from. 2001:F90:40A0:991:E0D5:4F6C:1328:D96C (talk) 07:19, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
