What the heck's a "Famous Idaho Potato"?

[edit]

Is this a bowl game named by the Idaho Potato lobby or something? Should we be discussing how the heck a bowl game got named "Famous Idaho Potato"? Because a nonsporty type like myself is a bit bemused. I mean, I'd understand it being the "Idaho Potato" bowl. But the Famous Idaho Potato bowl? Like why isn't the Famous Duke's Mayo bowl? Pretty sure sugar is extremely well-known, too. Why aren't all the bowl games famous? Maybe the Poinsettia lobby is like, "Daaahhhling, we don't have to announce it. Everyone knoooooows we're synonymous with Christmas deco"? It's pretty funny. There must be a story somewhere. Valereee (talk) 03:46, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
