First attempt
[edit]All right, my first created Wiki article. I've edited a bunch, but I finally see a chance to make one. Hope this goes well. I threw in a stub, so I can call on help from other knowledgeable people. --Crisu 22:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Looks fine. I categorized it under "Fast food" and removed the stub tag. --John Nagle 22:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Chow
[edit]At last, humanoid chow. This is just too precious. --John Nagle 22:18, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have friends who visit Japan on occasion, and I make every single one of them bring me back CalorieMate stuff. It's addictive, and I wonder if part of my fandom for it is still based on its Metal Gear appearance. It -does- taste good, though, especially for an energy bar/drink. --Crisu 22:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see if the grocery store in Japantown in SF carries it. They have a good selection of fun Japanese brands.--John Nagle 05:06, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Apperances
[edit]All I know of CalorieMate is its appearance in Metal Gear Solid 3. If there are others, I'd love to know. As far as the 24 cross-promotion, I think that's in Japan only. --Crisu 22:26, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
They have references to this food item made in several animations such as Full Metal Panic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.250.131.223 (talk) 15:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
America
[edit]Does anyone know if CalorieMate is sold in America? Torax's Rage 00:09, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've bought some at a Japanese market in San Mateo, CA., but that's WP:OR. --John Nagle (talk) 03:57, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Not a useful article
[edit]The article seems to consist of a badly-ordered list of flavours. At the least the authors might want to say why it is called "CalorieMate". PeepleLikeYou (talk) 09:54, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
