[edit]I've made some changes in the article. First and foremost, a previous writer referred to Rob Hirst as the primary songwriter for the band. A cursory check of the actual credits of their albums shows that most of the songs were written by Hirst and guitarist Jim Moginie, usually together. Moginie also wrote a number of songs with Garrett. Furthermore, most of the band considered Moginie to be the "musical genius", cooking up songs in his basement. Unfortunately I no longer have the many clippings I once did about the band, but most of this information was gleaned from articles in the Australian press. I've also added the comment about Hirst being "camera-friendly" because I can't think of a better way to describe his obvious media and female following. Perhaps someone reading this can add that in, as well. 67.10.131.229 4 July 2005 12:19 (UTC)
- Well written. Thanks. But Rob's won innumerable awards for his drumming over the years. He's also toured with other groups such as INXS. At the very least someone should hunt down his awards and name them here. Again: great work on the article.
- Agreed. Voted drummer of the year for decades

Personal Life Changes
[edit]There have been numerous edits, all coming from very similar IP addresses, putting false and unreferenced information about Rob Hirt's personal life. The current version is referenced with a recent article which confirms Rob's family situation. The changes being made are extremely inappropriate.SnapMcCrackle (talk) 13:03, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
