First draft

First translation and first major contribution to Wikipedia. Guidance and correction cheerfully accepted.

I did not translate a long discussion in the source article about Jesuit suppression, which I did not think belonged in this biographical sketch.

Neither did I copy over the translation of a poem from Latin into Spanish. An English translation of the Latin might be made, but Wikiquotes or Wikisource might be better places for it.

Citations are probably incorrectly formatted. References to wikisource, wikiquotes, authority control (?) still missing. dhf (talk) 05:01, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks much for doing this! It was kind of "provincial" for English language Wikipedia not to have had an article on this important Central American poet for so long. Pascalulu88 (talk) 13:34, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
