Vito not Teodoro

[edit]

Who's put that Tuddy's real name was Teodoro when in fact it says on the Vario gravestone that he was called Vito, there was no Teodoro, in Wiseguy Henry Hill mentions Vito 'Tuddy' Vario.

Pic

[edit]
  • It looks like some kind of gem description? I don't think it has any revelance with Paul Vario!

I put up a pic

[edit]

I got a pic off the web and put it up but it was deleted, I know it was him because it featured in a Channel 4 documentary and was a police mugshot from the 1970s.

  • I wonder why the pics of Paul Vario keep getting deleted? I have seen two photos of Vario on here and some picture of a blury blue card with some words on it! dmattt 14:51, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded them under my old account, JBAK, from that gravestone website, but they were repeatedly deleted!

Death

[edit]

Paul Vario (July 9, 1914 – May 3, 1988) .... later ... Paul "Paulie" Vario died while incarcerated at FCI Fort Worth, Texas, (Fort Worth Federal Prison) on November 22, 1988. ??? --ChikagoDeCuba (talk) 14:48, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are some rumours that he died in November. Over the years this spread through websites and now probably many people think it is a fact and correct the death-section, overlooking that both the introduction and the meta-data in Template:Persondata contain May. I've put the NYT-obituary as a reference next to the date in the death-section in hope to prevent people from changing it again. Lets see how long it takes until now somebody changes the introduction (the meta-data luckily is usually safe as it is not visible in reading-mode). -- Cecil (talk) 17:15, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vario's relationship with Hill is highly overstated

[edit]

In the article, as was the case in both the book “wiseguy” and the movie “goodfellas” , the relationship between Paul Vario and Henry hill is highly exaggerated and overstated. Vario’s relationship was no closer than his relationship with any number of Luccese family associates. he referring to Hill as his “Nephew” was an isolated incident involving Hill’s presence at a sit-down with members of the Buffalo family in which the Buffalo family members questioned his credentials and his need to attend. Vario wanted him there because Hill had an ongoing relationship with some contacts in Utica and Albany. Vario claimed Hill was his nephew that day to legitimize Hill, and Hill used the one time reference to his advantage every chance he got. Unfortunatly there is no citation for this, other then my first hand knowledge Cosand (talk) 03:01, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I put this section back. If "Cecil" has any information other then a Hollywood movie to present that contradicts my statements, he should present it, otherwise the this should stay on the discusion page and open for comment and discussion Cosand (talk) 03:03, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
