Adding names to the list

[edit]

If you think a name should be added to this list, first ask yourself two questions:

1 – Is this person a composer in the classical tradition? If not, use a different list.

2 – Does this person have a Wikipedia article? If not, first write one, then link the name to the list. Just adding a name (with a red link) does not enable other users to form an opinion.

Nicola LeFanu

[edit]

I've added contemporary composer, Nicola LeFanu to this list. She was born and lived in the U.K. but she's the daughter of Dame Elizabeth Maconchy (of Howth) and William LeFanu, who comes from the distinguished Irish literary family that includes Richard Brinsley Sheridan, Betsy Sheridan, and J. Sheridan LeFanu. If anyone objects to this, please discuss. By Irish law, she is 'automatically' an Irish citizen, and she has dealt with Irish subjects, e.g. her opera "The Story of Mary O'Neill."
