[edit]The Little Squelchy Things don't actually cause his bad luck though, do they? They mostly just appear randomly in the background. Foolish Mortal 22:48, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
- Agreed, reworded. BillyH 22:52, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Little squelchy things appear much earlier than 1995. The earliest appearance I have so far identified is in issue 2415 (Oct 29 1988). I have corrected the timeline accordingly 86.154.150.200 16:30, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
I used to notice that there was constantly a coloured sock with stink-lines coming out of it in every strip without fail, almost like a signature. Is the sock still there? I haven't read the Beano since 2001. Lady BlahDeBlah 16:13, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- The sock is still there. It's in all that artist's strips, not just Calamity James. --Generalmiaow 12:18, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Most short-sighted steamroller driver in the west
[edit]Can't remember his name (apart from i'm pretty sure it was Mc-something) But he was another running gag in the strip and would often run James over in a steamroller. Can anyone else remember this character? --Cobsterjh (talk) 11:46, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Absolutely. I definitely remember him. Bald, long jacket, tufts of black hair. Yup. :) - --TomFriend08 (talk) 00:05, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Wasn't it squelch mcgee? Sure it was Squelch Mcsomething --82.71.41.62 (talk) 12:56, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
- me again, it was Squelchy Mcphee. I was close the first time :) --82.71.41.62 (talk) 12:58, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
Daft Magpies
[edit]Used there not to be recurring instances of daft maagpies? Usually carrying anvils or bags of nutty slack? Mr Larrington (talk) 14:16, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Article Clean-Up
[edit]I have just cleaned up the article for the most part and removed the squelchy section. Bottomlivefan95 (talk) 19:13, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
New character in the future
[edit]Mr Kyffin will be a new teaching assistant of Class 4A in Bash Street School. However he sometimes may return in the Beano comics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.218.18.234 (talk) 16:25, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
