To link to the Turkish wiki, it needs some special characters. http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muazzez_%C4%B0lmiye_%C3%87%C4%B1%C4%9F I'm not sure how to do those, though. Stilgar135 00:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stilgar, likewise clueless. I added some information. Amazing how little is known outside of Turkey of this eminent scholar. The article/book would be most welcome. like was on the trial. Additional information states that such a crime is also called violation of the blasphemy laws and is punishable by three years of imprisonment. (Indonesia 5 yrs. see indonesia matters link) I thought the trial had been on the 2 of november? On the 11th of November it came in the news. The content of the trial would also be interesting as well as it's connection to the EU 'forced' change in criminal law. Other people that 'help' the court(it's proper name) creating it's jurisprudence. Pamuk the nobel price winner f.i. But could you strive in giving information about this lady, external links? I do not speak Turkish. Shukran. Madredsma 7:29, 23 December 2006 (GMT+1) could you please review? I did not edit yet

Sumerologist

In the introductory paragraph it says that she is an archaeologist and Assyriologist who specializes in the study of Sumerian civilization. Maybe it is the name of her branch of study in international scientific circles. But in her conference in Mersin she stressed that she should be called a Sumerologist. I am removing the "biological immportals" part as it is obviously a prank—Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.131.208.99 (talk) 15:07, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 06:27, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Born in 1913?

I found a Turkish article from last year which says she was celebrating her 109th birthday, which would mean she was born in 1913 and not 1914 - https://www.odatv4.com/kultur-sanat/109-yasina-giren-muazzez-ilmiye-cig-odatv-ye-konustu-yeter-artik-gitmek-istiyorum-242451.

I also found an unverified Instagram account, which is run by a friend or family member, with the last post being from January of this year - https://www.instagram.com/muazzezilmiye/. Skycloud86 (talk) 02:08, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
