Requesting semi-protection

[edit]

[edit]

I'm not sure how this is done but I request semi-protection for this article. For the second time in 7 months an unregistered used has added a lengthy section drawn from a book called "Bohica." There is no evidence that Bohica is anything other than fiction. The book and its author achieved a moment of fame in the early 1990s when he claimed to have participated in a secret mission to Laos to find American POWs with Jerry Daniels -- who was conveniently dead when the book was published. Ross Perot took an interest in his claims -- which have not been verified by anybody else. There were many hucksters who claimed to know how to find US POWs. None of them succeeded -- but a few of them made money on their claims. This article should not be soiled by giving credence to such claims. Smallchief (talk 16:57, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done requests for page protection must be made at WP:Requests for page protection. However, given that the article has only been "vandalized" twice in 7 months, it almost certainly will not be protected - a very high proportion of our articles are vandalized far more frequently than that. If the vandalism occurs several times a week, it may be worth applying. - Arjayay (talk) 17:19, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
