That's not what it means, exactly.

[edit]

Cosi fan tutti doesn't exactly mean "women are all the same" - it means "women are all like this/that." There's a subtle distinction in meaning, there - the real meaning isn't quite as derogatory as the meaning that's currently in the entry, because it means that women are alike in a particular respect - not in all ways. 4.131.39.229 09:17, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unless I'm misinformed, it only means "That's what they all do" or "Everybody does it". 89.27.17.4 09:07, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The proper translation from the Italian "Cosi fan tutte" is "That's the way they all do", where "they all" is feminine, meaning "That's the way all women do". The Italian male singular for "All/Everything/Everybody" is TUTTO; the male plural, TUTTI; the feminine singular, TUTTA; and the feminine plural, TUTTE.

Creative Commons/Free Image

[edit]

A photograph of Cosey Fanni Tutti[1] is available on Chris Carter's flickr site. Mr. Carter's work is Creative Commons - No Commercial Use Allowed.[2] Which Mr Carter says means "anyone can use my images for fun, to share, to collect, as a desktop etc., but no one can use them to make money from."[3] I believe that means the photo may be used for this Wiki entry, but it takes a wiser mind than mine to determine what photos are ok on Wikipedia. Her husband's photos on Flickr did not have the sort of CC license that could be used on Wikipedia, but I found a photo from a recent Throbbing Gristle performance with the right sort of Creative Commons Share Alike license to upload and add to the article -- Foetusized (talk) 19:38, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

From her autobiography's preview in Google Books:

[...] The name chosen was Christopher; it was expected I would be a boy, but I wasn't. The name was then changed to Christine and a middle name, Carol, added, which became my given name ... alongside Tuppence, Sputnik, Caz, and later names of Cosmosis, Scarlet and Cosey. So many time — but only one ‘me’.

You can add this info now. Gleb95 (talk) 13:47, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
