Koch has been a leading proponent...

[edit]

The paragraph that begins "Koch has been a leading proponent..." (which was added by User:SMcCandlish) had rather a long first sentence. I have divided and slightly rewritten it and removed references to "Easter" and "Wester", the significance of which was not apparent. If "Easter" and "Wester" were important, please restore (and perhaps explain) them.

In the passage from "controversial" to the end, it isn't clear whether the views expressed are those of Koch or of some different authority. I expect that's why another editor has sprinkled it with Citation needed tags, but actually the whole paragraph lacks, and would benefit from, citations. Can anyone with access to relevant works help, please? --Frans Fowler (talk) 01:18, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
