Krause's memoirs

[edit]

Is Krause's memoirs in an English edition?---- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.106.208.244 (talk) 19:05, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, not at this time. Kierzek (talk) 21:31, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This cat doesn't walk right!

[edit]

Kierzek, I think there is a misunderstanding here. The current version of the article says:

Why would Hitler allow Himmler to reprimand Krause if it was his idea that Krause should accompany him on this incognito boys night? Doesn't that strike you as a bit odd? It would make sense if Himmler outranked Hitler, but doesn't seem to add up when it was the other way around! Jonas Vinther (speak to me!) 22:50, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are reading too much into this. Krause was a member of the SS; Himmler was his boss therein; not to mention Krause was a member of Hitler's SS bodyguard. However, ofcourse Himmler did not "out rank" Hitler. Hitler wanted to go out for the night in private; so he did. There was nothing Himmler could do about that; so, later in private, Himmler gave Krause a dressing down. Hitler liked Krause at the time and Himmler could not fire Krause or do anything without Hitler's approval or acquiescing. Kierzek (talk) 02:42, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And Himmler kept dossiers on everybody, including Hitler. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:44B8:3102:BB05:F8B4:2F1C:7C2C:A528 (talk) 08:21, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
