Creation
[edit]I've created this page and all of the individual episode pages for two reasons:
- To shed a little weight from the article: The Office
- To improve and expand upon information for each episode
To accomplish number 2, the synposis for each episode should be expanded upon and trivia from each episode should be added to each respective article (for example: name certain songs that appear in an episode, what scenes were cut from the episode, etc.) An episode template would also be helpful (see Template:Office episode for an example of the one used for the American series). Airdates and screenshtos for each episode are also needed.
I'll be trying to update this page and the episode pages within the next couple of weeks, any help would be appreciated. Pele Merengue 22:10, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Episode notability
[edit]All the existing individual episode pages for The Office fail notability guidelines, including the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. Might I suggest these articles are improved with real-world information (ie. referencing with reliable sources) to assert notability, removing trivia (seeWP:TRIVIA) quotes, overly long plot summaries (a breach of copyright) or consider merging the information onto this page. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review in fourteen days, they may be redirected, merged or deleted. If you want any help or info, then come to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks, Gwinva 20:18, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Episode merger
[edit]Various AFD discussions have concluded with a consensus that the material from the individual episodes be merged to this article. See, for example, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Episode One (The Office, Series Two). If the merger is not completed properly, those articles may be renominated for deletion. Stifle (talk) 08:29, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have completed the merger of all 12 episodes except episode 4 (someone else should either source it or merge it) and the Chrismas special, which was not part of the AfDs. – sgeureka t•c 17:53, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- ...And any of the merged episode articles can be restored when notability is established along with it, e.g. adding a medium paragraph for reception and one for production should be fine. Episode articles at WP:GA can serve for inspiration. – sgeureka t•c 17:59, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Comic Relief Special
[edit]Can someone explain to me why the comic relief special is considered an "episode" of The Office? Considering it only features one major character from the original 14 episodes and is only about 10 minutes long, can it really be construed as an episode? C.harrison1988 (talk) 14:31, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
- I agree - it seems bizarre that it's there. Would anyone be opposed to its removal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.173.156.34 (talk) 08:02, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
Changes to the list of characters in the first episode
[edit]Hello all,
I've made some changes to the synopsis of the first episode. Primarily, I've tried to wrangle the character descriptions into a more conventional list format. While I've made a few small stylistic changes, I've mostly focused on grammar and readability. The original character descriptions are of high quality, and I have tried therefore to retain the bulk of their content.
Please feel free to review my changes, and to improve upon or otherwise modify them as you see fit.
