For this article, it would be important to know the origin of fundings and direction members of this NGO, as this type of information allow to discriminate between really non-governmental organisations and false banner organisations. Reading this wikipedia article do not allow to have any element if cinema for peace is independent and neutral. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E34:EC66:B120:C9EE:CDAB:5EAD:46CB (talk) 07:54, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

medical evacuation of Russian opponent Alexeï Navalny

[edit]

Russian opposition leader Alexeï Navalny has been medically evacuated from Omsk to Berlin through a private plane belonging to cinema for peace according to French newspaper Le monde https://www.lemonde.fr/international/article/2020/08/22/l-opposant-russe-alexei-navalny-toujours-dans-le-coma-a-decolle-vers-l-allemagne_6049605_3210.html

If confirmed this information could give insight on activities of this NGO : first, very few NGOs except large medical relief NGO (e.g. Medecins sans frontieres) have the capacity to posses and operate their own planes. Secondly this intervention sound not aligned with the official social mission of this NGO. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E34:EC66:B120:C9EE:CDAB:5EAD:46CB (talk) 08:00, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Le Monde states the emergency medical transport was organized by CfP, not that CfP has its own jet. BBC report also adds info (re CfPF) on this humanitarian medical mission, and on an earlier one in 2018. Both missions added to History. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pasdecomplot (talkcontribs) 22:37, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of fluff wording and advertisement-like language. How is the claim "morally completely independent" verifiable in any way? Er nesto (talk) 20:10, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
