Discussion

[edit]

I think the reference to Rev. Perry's "long term spouse" sounds weird. Is there such a thing as a short term spouse? Perhaps the phrase "long-time spouse" would be more felicitous (pragmatically more acceptable; the semantics are fine but they violate some common presuppositions of spousehood). Some concept like "long-time spouse" might have been in the (back or front?) of the original writer's mind.

I think we should write a sentence or two saying he has a long-term partner, whom he calls his spouse, and they are suing to have their marriage legally recognized. Jonathunder 21:11, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Troy Perry did not plan the National March on Washington.

[edit]

The MOW was originally organized out of NYC, with a preliminary meeting in Philadelphia for activists in the Northeast. Houston was the second meeting and national. Eyewitness and actual participant Paturli50 (talk) 03:35, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
