Fair use rationale for Image:Warbutons.jpg

[edit]

Image:Warbutons.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Master baker

[edit]

Someone has changed "master baker" to "skilled baker". Master baker would be the correct description of his job and qualifications. "Master" is a specific qualification in the progression through apprentice, journeyman and master. It is quite common to see occupation "master baker" on census forms so it seems wrong to changed the phrase to the meaningless "skilled baker" because of modern sensitivities. --jmb (talk) 11:46, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seems reasonable, why not change it back?Billlion (talk) 21:20, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Advert?

[edit]

Maybe the article has changed since teh "reads liek an advert" tag. It could do with some references and a bit more objectivity but it is not that bad!Billlion (talk) 21:23, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disrespectful

[edit]

Can Who ever it is,who keeps changing things from Lancashire to Greater Manchester on Bolton and Bury articles please stop now.not only is it stupid but it is also disrespectful to the inhabitants of Bolton and Bury.as i am from the area i think i should know.i am absolutely sick to death of having this conversation with wikipedia, right in 1974 the local government act created metropolitan areas such as greater manchester, merseyside and cumbria, they said they would not alter the traditional county boundaries, only administrative ones.this means that towns such as bolton, bury, wigan, oldham and rochdale and even manchester are all still in lancashire.i have been told by wikipedia to stop making these edits mentioning that they are in Lancashire,i will not.i have also been told that this creates work for wikipedia if thats so then why keep changing it back?i have also looked on pages about people from bolton and bury who have now died after everything they say greater manchester.this is disrespectful and bloody minded towards the dead have some respect for gods sake.its just pathetic.i bet the sad bugger who it is who is changing everything has nothing better to do than sit on his computer all day saying oh dear they say lancashire,oh dear must change them to greater manchester,he must have nothing better to do with his time than to do this,i personal call these changes pathetic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.178.233.125 (talk) 15:24, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Warburtons in the US

[edit]

Back in the 1980s there was a chain of Warburtons bakeries in the US. I don't know how it was connected to the UK company. The US bakeries were sold to Au Bon Pain in 1993 and converted to ABP locations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdulcey (talkcontribs) 11:28, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
