New title proposed

I think the current title (my mistake) is quite ambiguous, since there were several mortar attacks in Crossmaglen along the Troubles. I think 'shootdown' is not only a better description of what actually happened, but is what makes the article notable per WP guidelines. (See 1978 British Army Gazelle shootdown and 1990 British Army Gazelle shootdown).--Darius (talk) 17:17, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The timeline notes that ther wer other motar attacks in Crossmaglen that year. ~Asarlaí 17:26, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agree a new title is needed, if this had been the only mortar attack in the area then title would be ok but as there were more than one then it needs to be changed. Excuse my ignorance but is shootdown actually a word? Is it a military term? Mo ainm~Talk 17:33, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Shootdown is widely used for "the deliberate downing of an aircraft".--Darius (talk) 18:00, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I have no problem with the move inline with similar articles Mo ainm~Talk 19:31, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, Thank you!.--Darius (talk) 19:40, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
