Subject of article

whilst the controversy around the dismissal arose due to a knowledge of the Wooten-Palin family dispute this article errs i believe in not giving any substantial information regarding Walt Monegan 's perforamnce in his job, so the article reads as unbalanced... surely any information regarding him as a state official at the time is relevant to any article about his dismissal. also his future career - why did he not want to work on alcohol and why does he want to be mayor now, did he always want that or is it because of his dismissal?

he was dismissed, and not directly by palin, so i feel more about him and his superior who dismissed him would be more relevant to the title.

Stephen Branchflower

While trying to clean up Sarah Palin a little bit, I noticed that "Stephen Branchflower" redirects here. Keeping WP:RECENT in mind, I just wanted to point out that Branchflower's career is far more extensive than just his involvement with this issue.RadioKAOS (talk) 04:49, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

More cleanup/updating

Can someone check Talk:Mike Wooten (trooper)? Methinks it became orphaned when the article was redirected back to here. Thanks.RadioKAOS (talk) 01:35, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deja vu?

We'll see if a mainstream media site touches this... https://mustreadalaska.com/dan-fagan-former-dps-commish-says-dunleavy-fired-her-after-she-demoted-politically-connected-trooper RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 07:12, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues

This article is rated a B-class and according to the assessment criteria there are concerns involving #2, #3, and #4. At the top of the article rides an undated tag apparently concerning size and a possible solution being sub-articles. I don't think the size is a concern as much as the wandering off-topic. Content that is "irrelevant" or "only loosely relevant" means the article does not reasonably cover the subject (#2) so is not actually "reasonably well written" (#4). This means the tag at the top is not in error. I made some subsections of closely related sections so think this covers #3.
There is a May 2017 tag in the "External links" section that one or more entries may be excessive or inappropriate. If any of these can be used as a source they do not belong in the section.
Other issues: I think the "See also" section should specifically point to Governorship of Sarah Palin#Public Safety Commissioner dismissal and not the article on the governor.
There are issues that a B-class article should not have. These either need to be corrected or the article demoted. -- Otr500 (talk) 17:37, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
