Internet Chad isn't related to old wartime graffiti Chad, surely?
The article makes it sound like one developed into the other. They are totally separately invented Chads, right? Equinox ◑ 23:05, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
- I've removed that as the source presented did not establish a link between the graffiti character and the Chicago slang or manosphere slang. Wikipedia has disambiguation pages because some things have the same name. I left a dab at the top for Kilroy was here, but even that's maybe a bit kind, because how is a character a slang to start with? Come to think of it, do the sources even say anything about a direct link between the 80s slang and the modern one? Were internet forum users thinking of 30-year-old very local slang as they made their new stereotype? Unknown Temptation (talk) 17:47, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- There is as much connection between British WW2 Chad and the modern manosphere Chad, as there is with the country of Chad, Chad Muska or Chad Kroeger. This should not be restored without a definitive source linking the two, which was never on the page to start with. Unknown Temptation (talk) 14:02, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

Stacy
Hi @User:Loytra, re. the link to Stacy: if pointing the reader straight to the section of the article that mentions the slang use of the name isn't helpful, then what is the point of even linking the Stacy page? I don't think that improves the link at all; on the contrary, it unnecessarily muddles the intention of having a link. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 02:14, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
