Tennis Masters Series , previously called Super-9 , are a series of nine ATP tennis tournaments held throughout the year in various locations around the world, chiefly Europe and North America . The events are mandatory for players in the ATP circuit, and award more ranking points than regular tournaments, but less than grand slam events.
