My new page
Here at Wikipedia, I like to keep things interesting. So every once and a while, I'll rennovate my userpage. Well today is a day that you are looking at my new userpage. My previous designs included:
I was, at one time, a n00b at Wikipedia, so my first couple of page designs couldn't hold up to some of the elite pages here, but I found my ground. Hmm, let's see. Well one accomplishment is that I got some of my Wikipedia worl published in a real newspaper! My tedious work on the List of best selling video games finally payed off on January 10th, where my information was referenced in the online journal The Independent. See the article here.
To-do
Financial
I think I'm the world's only thirteen year old stockholder, something to pride myself on. As a gift for by sucessful Bar Mitzvah, my grandparents agreed to let me buy 25 shares in any company I want. I invested those 25 shares into Apple Inc (AAPL) at the price of $70.03. In mid-February I dug deep into my savings and bought 10 more shares of Apple at the price of $83. And as of May 8, 2007, AAPL closed trading at $105.06, leaving me with a gain of $35 per share ($875 total) on my first investment, a gain of about 50%, and as for my second investment, I made $22 per share ($220 total), a gain of about 27%. Not to sound braggy, but I ended up making $1095 on two investments totalling up to $2580, leaving my portfolio with a value of $3675, a gain of 70% total. Not to shabby for someone isn't even 14, eh?
Going Green
I know it's not normal for a teenager to get involved with topics of a political nature, but after seeing An Inconvenient Truth, I decided I need to live a green lifestyle. I would classify myself as a Liberal Democrat after agreeing with nearly everything coming out of Al Gore's mouth. I strongly advocate Barack Obama's presidential bid, and, as all sane Americans are, Anti-Bush. My political stances are as follows:
