Comment

I know it is. I do it a lot but I have gotten better because of people bringing it up. Peace:)--James, La gloria è a dio 02:08, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking a talk page

It is perfectly acceptable (especially when I am being vandalized. You can follow up with this at WP:TPG.//Tecmobowl 03:09, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Won't happen again. Made a mistake.

Homoeroticism

Ok then I read your message but keep the Homoeroticism page as it is now please. Don't add that "lesbian erotica made by men for men" because it isn’t entirely true, because otherwise you should add to the gay erotica picture caption "gay erotica made by men for gay men and heterosexual women" etc etc. I mean, coming from Toronto, you should know how many straight women go to gay bars because they love it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.209.19.62 (talkcontribs) 03:01, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking my own talk page

That's my page. I can blank it when I want, especially when it's been vandalized.

Mind your own business, buddy.

Vandalism?

Huh? The quote in question was strongly sourced, right there in the article. Whiskey Pete 00:57, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An explanation might help

As enchantingly well-mannered and courteous as that communication of yours was, Andrew, I cannot say that it left me feeling particularly enlightened; in fact, I found it unutterably annoying. How, exactly, have I, in your humble opinion, fallen short of the requirements of Wikipedia's core policies? Robertson-Glasgow 17:51, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok? what content did i remove? please clarify?

i am talking about your message here: Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from User talk:75.138.68.170/Sandbox. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Andrew_pmk | Talk 18:07, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Let me assure you that I am most certainly not pro-Communist in my ideological outlook; in fact, I am a Capitalist through and through. That said, I do not regard my calling Leon Trotsky "brilliant" as something which constitutes any sort of untoward, baseless bias. Could you possibly assert that he wasn't? Robertson-Glasgow 20:31, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My use of the word "brilliant" referred not to any shimmering ethical comeliness that there might have been in Trotsky's moral make-up -- I agree unequivocally that organisers of coups are unfit to be regarded thus -- but to the very patent genius of the man and his cunning mind and revolutionary thinking (however flawed). Anyway, Andrew, if your only qualm with my edit was that I used a solitary word which hinted at Eastern bias, you could easily have made the necessary revision without dropping in in all your sanctimonious glory to beleaguer me with such counterfeit grace and mediation.Robertson-Glasgow 10:14, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
All's forgiven. Cheers, Robertson-Glasgow 11:30, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The person that edited the Nancy Pelosi article was not adding his POV. It is a fact that the Roman Catholic Church teaches that abortion is a evil. Peace.--†Sir James Paul† 18:21, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Still confused

please i am trying to understand your concern here. What did i blank and when? i did not blank anything today so if you pardon my french vu le vu? Ok i am still confused about what did i blank? i mean there is still some date left on the page right? Do you people have some kind of alarm ringing when somebody doing edits on pages?

Blanking in my book means some joker erazed all data .. no?

Thanks!

Is there a way to create some way for the "sandbox" to be free of attentions of the vandalism bot snooping around? Not that it is a big deal but a tad annoing.. Say you would not know anything about templates? i am messing arounf with one here. getting frustrating... thats just a thing i am bit slow on the takeup when it comes to programming mumbo jumbo.. Do you know the rules about redirects beetween template space and the regular "space"? Like can i redirect the template to the article? wow it works! your the greatest! thanks a BUNCH! i was messing with that for an hour.... Can i do that with the article from other wiki project? Say polish? or german? right....is there any way to make sure the picture opens in the new window using wiki tools may be? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have an SVG editor. Feel free to convert the map to SVG, if you have the ability :o) — OwenBlacker 09:05, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah cool; I'll take a look at Inkscape when I get home this evening, if I get a chance. Thanks a lot; hopefully I'll be able to upload an SVG version shortly. Thanks again! — OwenBlacker 11:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Try reading the articles before reverting stuff and screaming VANDALISM, The information on the Lothian Buses page headed "Liveries and "Core Routes" is the same information in each section. I was trying to combine it into one clear section. Maybe you just want this site full of out of date duplicated rubbish. I work for Lothian Buses but maybe you have better information than me, I LOOK FORWARD TO YOU UPDATING THE PAGE!

Logos

The information I removed was superfluous to the article. The deep translation issues that the other writers were trying to discuss would better fit in the dedicated article on John 1:1.

Sorry, But consider

Sorry for removing those parts. Actually I have started a new article named AC motor. It is s huge topic. information is to be added theere, not in the article Electric motor. I shall not remove now. Because you will not consider anything better but reviving again and again. But add the notice of merging please. -- Hermitage17 06:47, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on User talk:Ibm44, by Tiggerjay (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because User talk:Ibm44 is pure vandalism; this includes redirects created during cleanup of page move vandalism.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting User talk:Ibm44, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate User talk:Ibm44 itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 06:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there's a barnstar for you! :)

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
I, Andrij Kursetsky, hereby grant you this barnstar for your hard work in fighting vandalism on Wikipedia. Thanks! Andrij Kursetsky 09:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, all Peterbean users are sockpuppets of a blocked vandal. Block on sight is the message :-) Fram 10:59, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your Speed of revertion

Hi, As I have been patrolling the recent changes myself, I have noticed your near impossible speed of revertion of vandalism. As we both have TW, but you have this IRC vandalism channel, I can only attribute your faster speed to the IRC channel. I tried to find out about this channel, and try and monitor it. There is a problem though, my browser will either not open the link or cannot find it. Any idea what is going on? I hope I haven't disturbed you, and that you might be able to help. Thanks, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk -- (dated 11:30, 21 June 2007 UTC)

user contributions

Lol, sorry... I wanted to see the colour schemes for the higher contributions... I'm not so stupid as to say I've made more edits than most FOUNDERS of wikipedia, when my true amount can be seen through a single click. I was just playing around.--Paaerduag 23:49, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A request for your help with my research

Dear Andrew

My name is Jim Sutton and I'm undertaking research in the School of Library, Archive, and Information Studies, UCL.

My research involves studying wiki usage, the reasons why individuals use wikis and the benefits/disadvantages of using wikis to manage knowledge.

I noticed a contribution of yours to the article on wikis and I was wondering if you would agree to my analysing your contributions to Wikipedia. This will basically involve calculating how many times you've contributed to Wikipedia within the time period of a week.

I was also wondering what your reasons are for using/contributing to Wikipedia. I'd be extremely grateful for any feedback you can provide.

If you agree to my analysing your contributions and can provide any feedback as to why you contribute to Wikipedia I’d be very grateful. My email address is james.sutton (at) ucl.ac.uk and can be emailed at this address if you agree and have any feedback or questions.

I also have a survey online which I'm using as part of my research at:

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/stqa7937/survey/

My Wikipedia username is Sutton4019 and my research is being carried out jointly with Melissa Terras at UCL. Her email address is m.terras (at) ucl.ac.uk .

If you have any questions please let me know and thank you for your time. Thanks! --Sutton4019 09:03, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
