Sorry about the licensing mistake when uploading. I asked the permission of the photographer, Robert Lafaver before posting copying it off of his Facebook page, and the option I chose seemed the closest match to our conversation. Out of curiosity, why are we able to upload pictures in a format that's not acceptable? Seems like tis problem could be cut off at the source... I have another photo I want to upload and don't want to go through this run around again unnecessarily. Twilder 00:00, 20 June 2007 (UTC)TWilder[reply]

Mr.Bradford, Pl. do not delete the image of Sri Malladihalli Raghavendra swamiji, as it can be obtained with prior permission from the authors, in the mean time pl.note it can be used for commercial or non-commercial purposes. Shivashankar kt 04:06, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Julian Dobrowolski

My friend and I have done extensive research into the subject of Julian Dobrowolski, a Polish criminal. When we wanted to write about him, however, the page is deleted within like 5 minutes... because its not notable!!! The guy is a convict on the run!!! He is notable! WHY WHY WHY?? answerplese, matti1003.

Perhaps contact the nominator or the admin that deleted it. The problem is possibly because you did not cite your sources or make a clear assertion of the subject's notability. --Android Mouse 03:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Al-Ghassani

Someone has objected to Anwar Al-Ghassani entry. I don´t think I understand what the objection is about. This entry is still at an early stage. A lot will be added to improve notability. However, I have no time to do that now. I will keep a copy of the entry and edit and add later, and then republish. I hope the entry will be kept as it is for the time being. Deleting would be an error. Have patience. Thanks. Labidon.

Bradford N. Smith

Could you please take off the tag on his (Bradford N. Smith's) trivia section, I think I fixed the problem. Thanks

You don't have to ask me to have the tag removed. Although I personally think it should stay, since there still is a large amount of trivia that should either be removed or integrated into the article. --Android Mouse 01:34, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, Thank you anyways.

T-Vice

I would like to know what you exactly mean by notability of the subject. I don't understand why it is a candidate for speedy deletion because I stated information on the group's success and popularity. Please answer back because I would not want the article to be deleted~ Spyder00Boi

Please see the guidelines for notability. Or contact the nominator of the article, or the admin that deleted it, if that is the case. --Android Mouse 02:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DinoSizedBot

Hey Android Mouse!

It looks like the bot is running perfectly, and I have transcluded the sandbox page. This is so cool. How does the bot add the GA and FA tags? Does it detect them automatically, or do you have to tell it to? I ask because eventually we'll get more FA and GA articles, and I don't know the procedure to get the bot to add new tags once an article has reached GA or FA status. Thanks again for this cool bot. Firsfron of Ronchester 19:20, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot to mention: don't worry about if the bot's estimate is a few bytes off. We just need a rough gauge of measurement, and do not need exact to-the-byte results. A few bytes make no difference. Firsfron of Ronchester 19:22, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The bot seems to have fallen asleep; it's skipped the last two daily updates. Has the time frame for running it changed? J. Spencer 15:22, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've got no idea what it decided to stop, I haven't changed anything and infact just came back from being away for a week. I just run it manually and will check and get it back running automatically again. --Android Mouse 03:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy warning

Not that it's a major problem, but I thought I'd let you know, your bot left me a speedy deletion notice for a page I didn't create — I moved Roberto Mancini TES to Roberto Mancini (TES) in keeping with WP:NAME, so when the former was speedied, my move appeared as the first edit of the latter, which I assume is how your bot identifies a page's creator. — Swpb talk contribs 01:11, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This should now be fixed in the bot. If the page has any logs for being deleted, moved, protected or anything else, the bot will skip it in order to avoid such mixups in the future. --Android Mouse 18:09, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy warning Ghostbusters III

The bot may be having a problem. I didn't create Ghostbusters III nor was I the last editor. I deleted it [1] almost a year ago.--Dakota 13:44, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you deleted it, then protected it, which probably meant you were showing as the first person in the article's history. Regardless, I have now set the bot to ignore any pages that have a page log. If it has been moved, deleted, protected, or anything like that it will now be skipped to avoid this type of mixup in the future. --Android Mouse 18:07, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did protect it in June of last year because it was recreated in Feb. 2007. [2] then again deleted 4 June 2007 by another. Thanks for fixing it :)--Dakota 00:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was a note about contesting the deletion of an article, I'm not sure where to talk to you at, on here or my page.

Speedy Deletion Notify.

Just curious, I'm very new here so, feel free to throw something off of my head. I created GiveJesusMoney.com and received a notification from a fellow user. I know that it flagged your bot, but I was just curious as to see if there was anything that I should change on it to keep it up or is it ok as is Genghis John2005 11:27, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks as if your page was deleted because it was believed to not be notable enough for an article. If it is truely unnotable, then there probably isn't much you could do to keep the article up. Please see the guidelines for what is generally notable here: Wikipedia:Notability. --Android Mouse 15:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear co-editors,

Sorry!... You are quite correct! I am have just accidentally created Genfibrozila at [en.wikipedia.org], when it contains Gemfibrozil. This was only a mistake caused by me, when compiling information from here. So, you may/must delete Genfibrozila at all! Thanks!

Speedy Deletion of Gene_Zaino image

Hello,

This is the first time I am using images in an article and I am not sure how to cite the "copyright". It is a picture of the person on whom I wrote an article - I have permission from him to use the image, but he did not personally send me the file. Here's the article Gene Zaino

Hello,

PN Chalmers 300.jpg

I got a bot response after posting an image with only a fair use tag. A fair use rationale tag has now been added. The fair use rationale that has been posted provides contact information and the image archive number. Anyone interested in reuse of the image can send them an email explaining what they want to do with the image and wait for the reply. That's what I did, and I have permission to post the image. I think that's a very good use of the fair use rationale tag, that provides the information it should. BTW: I know the subject well, and PN Chalmers 300.jpg really is a unique historical image. --Rogerfgay

Bot message

Hi there! I appreciate the heads-up on an article I edited being nominated for deletion. I keep getting these automated alerts from various bots, even though my edits are 99% of the time extremely superficial (stub-sorting mostly). Is there a way I can opt out of getting such messages? I can delete them from my talk page, but it's almost comical how pleased I am to see the "You have new messages" bar, only to find that it's a bot message for an article I don't care about. Any advice? Thanks - Her Pegship (tis herself) 16:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Message

I received a deletion message from a Bot saying that the article on Phillipe Aumont I created was going to be deleted because of lack of notability. This article is still in process of becoming and I am not finished editing it yet. Please removed the pending deletion from the article. Joesixpac 17:13, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

schneidertec: regarding request for speedily deleting Berry Springs Park

Hi,

I'm a newbie at Wikipedia authors. I'm trying for the second time to post an article about Berry Springs Park in Georgetown, TX. Even though I think I did everything right the request to delete came pretty quickly after every posting.

So what am I doing wrong? There were several hours between the first posting today ( I save my work a lot while working on it ) and the final version. Did this time delay provoke your request?

If so, please delete your request and enjoy my article with the many nice pics I made ( drove out there tonight just to make better ones than those I already had ).

Otherwise, your tips would be appreciated.

Thanks Frank Schneider PS I do plan to expand to include other Georgetown parks.

I made some deletions to indicate to you the sort of material which is not considered suitable for an encyclopedia--we are not a city guide. What you should now do is to use your judgement to remove all but the one or two pictures that best show the parks as a whole or its principal special feature. Ask for further advice on the article talk page. I consider it presently adequate to prevent speedy deletion, but others may disagree. DGG 06:13, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sardonic laughter

Just looking for the meaning of that phrase I looked into Wikipedia not finding it. So I found other sources (like Oxford Dictionary, Webster's, Kluge, etc.) explaining the term; I felt the obligation to add it to Wikipedia. You of course may delete it. Not my problem - --charlandes 15:05, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't and don't delete articles. My bot only notifies authors of speedy deletion nominations. --Android Mouse 02:45, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bot 2 - template use

Hi, I noticed your bot's template User:Android Mouse Bot 2/nn-warn file has the following "A tag has been placed on [[:{{{1}}}]], by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia."

Yet just then[3] when it reported my speedy to the user, it used "A tag has been placed on Central Goulburn Football League, by MY USERNAME, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia."

Sounds picky but it's just that when I do nn-warn I like to use my sig, not my username which is what your bot is throwing in there.

Also, I understand that your bot was designed for "just added. just speedyd" articles, keep in mind that old articles can also be speedy deleted, and similarly the user the article was created by may not be around anymore. Maybe a quick check to the user's contribs or talk page activity would help. I just don't see how users who last made an edit in 2006 need to be told about a speedy - I don't think they would be back on Wiki in time before the delete. Thanks. --Bren talk 18:08, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea. Are signatures publically accessible though? --Android Mouse 03:03, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nicholas Saunders

Why was the article on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Newcastle, Australia, removed?Castlemate 09:50, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because Nicholas Saunders (Vice-Chancellor) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. ExtraDry 10:02, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spam

Please stop spamming my user talk page. I don't care how many of my images have been moved to commons. -- Tim Starling 00:54, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no way for my bot to determine the images are being moved to the commons because the nominator used the non-specific {{db-reason}} tag. Had they used the correct tag it wouldn't have issued the notifications --Android Mouse 02:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't have any idea what you are refering to. --Android Mouse 02:38, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is retarded

Because a subjected page has to be notable it won't be able to be posted? Yeah it's retarded and fricking aggrivating that I spent that much time creating the page just to have it deleted the next day, so much for open/free encyclopedia.

Sorry for your inconvience, but all articles must be of a notable subject. Please be aware that neither I or my bot deleted it though. --Android Mouse 02:34, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Court Case Bot Bug

Your bot has been tagging the "facts" sections of court case articles, such as Good News Club v. Milford Central School and, more recently, Almendarez-Torres v. United States with trivia tags. As you know, the "Fact" section is not a trivia section - it is the section of the article which covers the "finding of fact" section of the court case. Please stop these bot edits and remove the trivia tags from the court case articles. Thank you. --Tim4christ17 talk 15:39, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestion for a fix. I'm not a programmer, so I don't know the limitations of a bot. But I'd just suggest having it ignore sections of an article with " v. " in the article name which are titled "Fact" or something to that effect. --Tim4christ17 talk 02:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For the time, the bot hasn't been running due to the controversies it rose. When I do run it again I'll probably do as you suggested and have it skipped articles with ' v. ' in the title. I'll try and search trhough all the court case articles the bot tagged and fix them when I get some time. --Android Mouse 02:57, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ECOMB

Hi. I am trying to build a wikipedia page for my non profit environmental organization in Miami Beach: ECOMB. Not less than an hour after I started, you deleted my page because it was about an organization - there are many organizations, people, bands that have wikipedia pages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_stones http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_congdon. Listing ECOMB on wikipedia is important because of its impact on Miami Beach and more specifically South Beach, the Trend Capital of the United States. In order for Social Behavior to change among our youth's outlook on the environment, their icons need to buy into the theory that doing good for the environment is a cool thing to do. I am trying to build up a case to pitch these celebrities and I need the online credibility of Wikipedia, Myspace, ect.. in order to "get to the next step". Please give me another hour or so in making my page and you will see that this page merits worth in your library. - Ben McFerren ECOMB Board Director

Neither I or my bot deleted your article. Perhaps talk to an admin or the one that nomiated your article for speedy deletion for possible undeletion. --Android Mouse 02:36, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bot 2

Is it possible for the bot to not notify users when they, the author, requests the speedy deletion themselves? --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@(Let's Go Yankees!) 00:37, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that would be possible. But what would be the point if they are both the creator and the nominator? --Android Mouse 02:30, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. The bot shouldn't notify the creator if they are the nominator. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@(Let's Go Yankees!) 20:39, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But why? If they nominated it themselves then why would they need the bot telling them? --Android Mouse 20:43, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. I'm pretty sure yesterday I saw a notice for a page created by that user. You're saying it already doesn't notify them if they are the creator? --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@(Let's Go Yankees!) 21:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It has in the past, but it shouldn't any more. Do you remember the page where you saw this happen? --Android Mouse 21:50, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It was someone who requested an old archive be deleted. However, now that I think, it may have been created by a bot. Let me ask an admin for the author. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@(Let's Go Yankees!) 22:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. User talk:Wikihermit/Archive One (now deleted) was created by Wikihermit, and the speedy request was made by Wikihermit. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@(Let's Go Yankees!) 22:19, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I think I fixed the problem. The issue was if the bot for some reason couldn't determine the article nominator it would notify the creator anyways. Now if it can't determine the nominator for some reason it will skip that article. --Android Mouse 22:28, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maya Karimata

There is an Indonesian island with this name. Check this Indonesian site. http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulau_Maya_Karimata,_Ketapang If you think there is an alternate or better name for the island, please let me know. Antipoeten 15:11, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Please be aware that my bot didn't nominate your article for speedy deletion. It only notified you that someone else did. --Android Mouse 15:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maya Island

It might be more correct to call the island just Maya or Maya Island. In my Times atlas it is called just Maya. I chose the Indonesian spelling because it otherwise would be confused with other places called Maya, for example the Russian river. By the way, the island is situated in Kalimantan Barat, West Borneo, south of Pontianak. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Antipoeten (talkcontribs)

If the article hasn't already been deleted you can always use the move feature to move it to the new name you proposed. --Android Mouse 15:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I've noticed that you nominated Colosanti's Tropical Gardens for speedy deletion becuase it sounds like an advertisement. I've re-written the article to sound less commercial-like, and more in the form of an essay or encyclopedia article. I hope this entry in Wikipedia is not deleted, as it pumps in a great deal of money into Essex County, Ontario's economy, being a large tourist attraction for the area. RingtailedFox 18:53, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I didn't nominate the article for speedy deletion, it was actually nominated by Imasleepviking (talk · contribs). Perhaps leave a note on their talk page telling this to them and they will probably support the removal of the speedy deletion tag. Please note by bot only notifies users when their articles are nominated for speedy deletion. It does no nominations. --Android Mouse 19:07, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Simon Templar

Your "Android Mouse Bot 3" erroneously tagged a section of Simon Templar as trivia when it was not. It was a section discussing different cultural references to the character, as opposed to trivia sections that contain a series of usually unrelated factoids. I reverted the change and left you a note in the event this was an unintended action by your bot. 23skidoo 20:16, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It previously tagged cultural reference sections as trivia, but it was pointed out that this isn't always trivia so the bot no longer does this. --Android Mouse 22:07, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

speady deletion of Brandon Mull article

Why do you want to delete this article it is about a author that wrote a tremendous series of books called Fablehaven. Fablehaven Rocks 14:58, 14 June 2007

I don't. According to the message the bot left you it was nominated by 70.176.124.218 (talk · contribs). The bot only notified you of its nomination. Also, you dont have to type out your signature as you did, simply type ~~~~. This will also avoid typos, such as accidently capitilizing the R in your username. --Android Mouse 22:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of Kxen page

Hi, I would like to know why this page kxen has been deleted ? this page was a presentation of the company KXEN and the solution KXEN ANALYTIC FRAMEWORK in the space of datamining and predictive analytics. Other companies like SAS System or SPSS have their own page, especially the first one even displays a "feature" list which is not more than a "why buy sas" !!! so please, could you give me explanations and whenever possible what to change in the text so that this KXEN can be displayed.

thanks in advance,

Christophe GUYOT.

The article was deleted because Kxen is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. --Android Mouse 16:04, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Inner sanctum records

WTF is up with deleting the Inner Sanctum Records page? It was a historical document about a place that hasn't existed for over a decade of relevance to thousands(literally) of people. You know, if you are going to let Colbert's fans change elephant statistics you can bloody well let us have one bleeding page of historical data on a place that will never exist again. And you can also, since you have this data, send me an email rather than me having to come look for the page after just last night telling 2 people who remember the place to come see it. FEH!

And your editing interface bites.

You're complaining to the wrong person. Please re-read the message that was left by my bot. --Android Mouse 20:10, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad you figured that out. Now please read the second sentence in the first paragraph and the bolded sentence in the second paragraph in the message that my bot left you. --Android Mouse 21:29, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah,OK, I sent a comment to the tag, but you are still listed as contact for the bot. GIVE IT BACK NOW! or, hey, have you guys ever been sued?"

And WTF there is no content page on which to post the tag, you bureaucratic %^&*.

Young D.C. Images

Hi. I work with the indie, nonprofit newspaper Young D.C. and created its Wiki entry. I have been given permission to display the images, which are also available on its official website. When you uploaded the image the tag was automatically placed because you didn't specify the copyright information with the proper tag. Also, welcome to Wikipedia! --Android Mouse 02:52, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion notification of useless talk pages

Are such warnings really necessary? -- Cat chi? 20:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't know what you mean. Could you provide an example? --Android Mouse 22:40, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Speedy Deletion of Odd One Out (see my My Talk!)

Hell, this is a first! I'd like to know: what makes any other artist that's got a Wiki more favorable than myself? Some Jewish idiot saying I'm using Wiki as a sort of MySpace must have his...

Anyways, I don't even wanna go there, the mentality of some of your moderators (don't even know whose in charge over here).

The point is: I have the same right as my pal Richard D. James to have my biography/discography and every other piece of music history I've made, plastered/entered into (what is supposedly) the free encyclopedia.

If the artist/label (yes, I run my own label)/I'm not allowed to moderate myself, than who is? Will you disallow a fan to do the same?

broken bot: Missing image Image:Champsosaurus BW.jpg

Your bot put the following note on my user page, but I am not the creator of the image. The creator is user:ArthurWeasley. Debivort 04:54, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Champsosaurus BW.jpg, by ACupOfCoffee (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Champsosaurus BW.jpg is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Champsosaurus BW.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Champsosaurus BW.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 04:37, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

But didn't you initially create the image page? [5] --Android Mouse 04:59, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly hard for me to tell now that the page has been deleted. But it would have been in adding a Category:Approved dinosaur images label to it - and it seems the better user to alert would be the image creator. Debivort 17:28, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article: Stillste Stund

Hello, I have just noticed that my article on the German band Stillste Stund has been requested for speedy deletion. Please don't delete this article! I have taken my own time to add some very notable information. For instance, the band's name comes from Part Two - Die Stillste Stund (The Stillest Hour) of Friedrich Nietzsche's most famous book: Zarathustra. I have also contributed two articles on the two band members, Oliver Uckermann and Birgit Strunz. I have remembered to include licensing, summaries with credit to the photographer and/or artist and URL's for the images I have used. So please, wait before deleting my greatest contribution to this online Encyclopedia. And if it is deleted... I promise to have my own account deleted and NEVER return again.

Kindest Personal Regards -- Alptraum 12:08, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, great and thanks for contributing! Although please note that I didn't nominate, delete or personally notify you of about the article. That was all done by someone else and my automated bot. Also, welcome to Wikipedia! I see no one, as of yet, has welcomed you. --Android Mouse 06:16, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like someone else already deleted it. If you think you can establish the subject's notability contact an admin to see if you could get the page undeleted. --Android Mouse 01:32, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I know the man who made the pitchure. Do not delete it!Kevin Kahle 22:11, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Kevin Kahle[reply]

Ok, just make sure you get permission for both commercial and non-education use of the image from the author, then update the image with the proper licensing tags. Until then, you could place the {{hangon}} tag on the image to prevent an admin from deleting it. --Android Mouse 01:34, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User talk namespace speedy deletion notices?

Hi. I recently left a deletion notice on the talk page of a User:Roded86400, who subsequently and mistakenly tagged their talk page for speedy deletion. I was given a speedy deletion notice by your bot, Android Mouse Bot 2. I have no problem with the bot, but doesn't it seem useless for the bot to give deletion notices - particularly ones with instructions on how to contest the deletion - for user talk pages? It might be useful to have the bot check the namespace of the page to be deleted, and filter either delivery or content of the messages. Just a friendly suggestion, don't worry about it :). Thanks, Nihiltres(t.c.s) 02:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion, it will no longer issue notifications for the User talk namespace. Sorry for the unneeded tagging--I thought I had already disabled notifications for that namespace, but it looks like I had only disabled it for the User namespace. --Android Mouse 02:43, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem about the unneeded tagging, I'm just glad it meant I could help. :) Nihiltres(t.c.s) 02:47, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
