Hello, I was wondering if a link to HEE would be any use. This site features many Halo 2 glitches and easter eggs. Someone at the bottom asked if a glitches section should be added, if that has not happened why not a link to a site with a listing of them?

Thank you =), Darc3st1 03:12, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy

Halo 2 for Vista is out of date. Perhaps we need a Halo 2 for vista article. At least unlock the article to let people update it who aren't part of your gang. 8:37, 3 April 2007 (PST)

Spoilers

Dude, spoilers, major, to the extreme. There might actually be some people out there who haven't played it and don't want to know the story. Should spoiler tags be put in? RidiculousX 11:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree completely - the plot section here basically lays out everything that happens in the game. It should definitely have spoiler tags. Solaraeus 14:42, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler tags aren't necessary. People should be able to tell that when they read a piece of text that says "Story" or "Synopsis" that it contains....well, the story or a synopsis. Most FAs do not have spoiler tags; reference plot-heavy games like Final Fantasy VIII. Peptuck 15:36, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As WP:SPOILER explains, spoilers, major, to the extreme, are to be expected in a section called "plot"...dude, and thus a spoiler tag is unecessary and diminishes the quality of the article. Savidan 06:46, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing, Lord Hood said Commander Keyes, not Captian. Several times throughout the first few levels (Chapters) it is said she is Commander Miranda Keyes.

obviously they wouldnt say captian.....Dappled Sage 01:04, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is "Ark", no questions about it. It's been mentioned in Frankie's updates on bungie.net. Additionally, the only time Miranda Keyes has ever been referred to as a "Captain" (by anyone besides some tool on the Interwebs) is in a TV Guide interview with the actress who performed the character's voice in Halo 2. She was mistaken, by the way. The character is Commander Miranda Keyes. She is not a Lieutenant Commander, or a Captain, or an Ensign, or a Lieutenant, J.G. She is a Commander. Period. --The Berzerk Dragon 16:59, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Competition

I'm surprised that no mention has been made of the competitive side of Halo 2, especially given its exposure on the USA Network. MLG runs the tournaments and Amped eSports provides online coverage, similar to ESPN. There are players who have signed million dollar contracts and the grand prize of the finals this year was $100,000, so I believe it to be relevant. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bdickason (talkcontribs) 19:58, 6 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Just pointing out something I think should go on a "Trivia" section, on the song You're Pitiful, the lyrics include this:

I think it would be a good idea to add http://www.halowiki.net to the external sites list. It's an extremely active Halo 2 multiplayer wiki with almost 7k articles.

--Thirstyg 06:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that link used to be there. Even if wikipedia isn't a links collection I think it should help people find more information. and halowiki.net really digs into Halo 2 Multiplayer in depth. Halo 2 is one of the most criticized games on the Xbox

With this beeing said, why is there not a "criticism" section? Seriously. Zoola 01:38, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism is part of "Reception." Check the archives for a detailed discussionon the reasons for this. Peptuck 04:59, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it is the second highest praised game on Xbox [1]. But as Pep said any criticism is contained in the "Reception" section and it is balanced to maintain a neutral point of view, and since there is far more praise than there is criticism that is how it should be maintained. Konman72 06:44, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To actually clarify, there was a criticism section, but as per other articles it was merged into reception. Basically I'm going off WP policy in moot sense and the Halo: CE article, which as its a FA it makes a good basis off which to judge the Halo 2 article. David Fuchs 16:31, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is, one of the MOST criticized games on Xbox, particularly BECAUSE it has the largest following. Just like Bungie doesn't consider public opinion, editors and admins for Wiki fail to consider public opinion, which for a large minority, hammers the game in forums and registered websites. To leave this out, Wikipedia is, truly, not accurately depicting this game. Jeers to Wikipedia.
It is also one of most-praised, and shown by the reviews cited. Therefore, any discussion of the game's reception should reflect that balance. If you disagree with the weight given, please find sufficient credible, reliable sources to back your position. This is the way that neutrality on Wikipedia works: we cite what other reliable sources have to say in rough proportion to each position's prevalence. — TKD::Talk 02:21, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to assume websites such as gamerankings.com and metacritic.com are "reliable" then you go right ahead. I predict Wiki is going to have some legal trouble coming down the pipe because of discrepancies and prejudices like this. And I'll be right at the forefront. Can't wait. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.204.101.181 (talk) 17:17, 14 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]
lol legal threats against Wikipedia. Didn't Jack Thompson try to pull that off at some point? Peptuck 17:19, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The IP address above has been strictly warned per WP:NLT. — TKD::Talk 03:02, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Above IP also made some obtuse threats on the Talk:Wikipedia page as well. Peptuck 06:03, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, I want to point something out: the majority of the complaints I've seen are by Halo:CE fans who are complaining about elements that are not perfectly in line with what was in Halo:CE. The majority of these complaints are on blogs and forum posts, and are thus unreliable sources. Major, reliable criticial sources have done little to criticize the game, as they have to report in a relatively unbiased format based on the game's own merits, not whether it adheres perfectly to some ideal developed by its predecessor. Peptuck 04:25, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Forum posts should not be counted as critism because from my personal experiences people who critisices halo 2 are most of the time people who play it regulary, but just because they had a bad experience or started getting bored of the game they critises some of halo 2 major faults: the brief campaign, modding/glitching in MP, weapon balancing and being more 'unskillful' than the previous game (though most that and campaign are only opinion). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Leemyster (talkcontribs) 13:54, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Let's push this up

This article currently is rated B class. From what I can see, it needs really only clarification/copyediting, and sourcing. Definitely sourcing. I'm trying to aggregate sources currently but of course if others helped it would be greatly appreciated. David Fuchs (talk • contribs) 22:29, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quick GA suggestion

The article's screenshot images all need fair use rationales or the article will get a quick-fail by the editor looking it over for GA. --Nehrams2020 00:56, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

as far as I can tell, they are all fair use- screenshots or illustrations of the game cover. There was one that had a watermark, but other than that they seem to apply to rationale. David Fuchs (talk • contribs) 01:17, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GA on hold

  • Images need fair use rationale. The cover should be called 'fair use rationale'
  • Lot's of double spaces between sections
  • Multiple one sentence paragraphs, remove, merge or expand
  • Halo 2 is compatible with the Xbox 360, including its Xbox Live functionality., all xbox games are?
  • six references in the lead, it should contain none or very little. Remember it is a summary of the article where information will be referenced in the body
  • Halo 2 is, like its predecessor, a story-driven action-shooter game with a first person perspective. Grammar problem
  • More pictures would be nice, especially one for the vehicles and multiplayer
  • try to expand each vehicle as some are too short.
  • See also the contents of Halo 2 Limited Collector's Edition., remove that and wikilink it through the first sentence
  • Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack, remove 'Halo 2' the name of the article shouldn't be mentioned in titles
  • Four references are just links in reception and Guinness world records
  • References aren't formatted properly please check, {{cite web}}

This article has promise but these easy to spot issues are a problem. Remember to read the GA criteria. M3tal H3ad 03:29, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Images need fair use rationale. The cover should be called 'fair use rationale' - Done.
  • Lot's of double spaces between sections - Done.
  • Multiple one sentence paragraphs, remove, merge or expand
  • Halo 2 is compatible with the Xbox 360, including its Xbox Live functionality., all xbox games are? - not sure what you mean here...
  • six references in the lead, it should contain none or very little. Remember it is a summary of the article where information will be referenced in the body - see your talk page
  • Halo 2 is, like its predecessor, a story-driven action-shooter game with a first person perspective. Grammar problem - fixed wording
  • More pictures would be nice, especially one for the vehicles and multiplayer - pictures themselves are not required for GA, so sourcing them, fair use should be enough. Pictures are annoying cans of worms, but I'll see about adding some later.
  • try to expand each vehicle as some are too short. - just removed and will add in a mention in gameplay.
  • See also the contents of Halo 2 Limited Collector's Edition., remove that and wikilink it through the first sentence. - Done.
  • Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack, remove 'Halo 2' the name of the article shouldn't be mentioned in titles - Done.
  • Four references are just links in reception and Guinness world records - Fixed these references
  • References aren't formatted properly please check, {{cite web}} - Fixed as per above.
Anything I missed or you want to clarify? David Fuchs (talk • contribs) 22:40, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I said the pictures would be nice as a suggestion, as with the lead. There is still a double space somewhere in there and i think you missed this
Some copy-editing needs to be done.
  • including Easter eggs, capital in the middle of a sentence
  • are located in hard-to-reach or concealed places , concealed areas
  • sentence above drags on a bit.
  • In Halo 2, however, Xbox players, what?
  • Unlike the original Halo, which featured both health and shields, the HUD in this game removed the health bar. However the player still has a shield which absorbs a finite amount of punishment. When the shield is depleted, the player is vulnerable; however if not exposed to fire the shield regenerates over a period of time, Read it and you will see it needs to be reworded.
  • Some weapons can be used at the same time, remove this. Just say a new feature that allows players to dual wield
  • When playing in this mode the player must complete ,remove 'in'
  • Areas of the maps that players would normally never visit are nevertheless fully built, uhhh?
  • Many levels of the Campaign are set in huge, intricate maps, what types of maps, ice, mountain, forest landscapes?
  • uses a service such as GameSpy, remove 'such as' and put 'called'
These are just a few examples, i see there is a wikiproject Halo so i suggest get some fans of the game to give it a copy-edit. M3tal H3ad 11:03, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I did ask for help from WP:H, but perhaps they're all out for the holidays... :) Anyway, I've done copyediting, specifically the parts you said above, though I haven't gone through the reception part yet. Also, uses a service such as GameSpy, remove 'such as' and put 'called' , actually, gamespy is not the only type of service, just one of the more notable ones, so that edit stands. I also found some duplicate info and moved and merged, and I believe I've gotten rid of ALL the double spaces and one-sentence paragraphs. Happy holidays! David Fuchs (talk • contribs) 20:06, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Issues addressed, passed. My only suggestions are get a CVG peer-review and re-word the 'Additional maps' section. Goodwork M3tal H3ad 01:44, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One problem I have with the article

A lot of the sourcing seems to come directly from Bungie (and I don't mean the plot, which I think it very well-referenced). Does anyone else think more info should come from major gaming (or perhaps mainstream media) publications, especially considering the vast, vast amount of sources available in relation to the game, and the fact that your IGNs, GameSpots, etc. comment every time anything related to Halo happens. -- Kicking222 23:03, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly a valid question. One thing I have noticed, however, is that because 'GameSpots, etc. comment every time anything related to Halo happens', a lot of what they say happens not to be true. They make news: Bungie just sends out press releases. That said, if you find good sources, feel free to add them! David Fuchs (talk • contribs) 23:15, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Xbox Live Playlist removal

Flood Juggernaut

Someone needs to add something about the flood juggernaut. --Discharger12 20:19, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, there doesn't. Maybe it being mentioned in how some data wasn't included in the game, such as the E3 campaign level and a new flood race called Juggernaut, but not a section about it.

That's what I meant. --Discharger12 14:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Flood Juggernaut is non-existant in the un-modded world. People think Gravemind is the Jugger, but hes not.  ATROCITY1313

Bungie's own comments on the game

A recent issue of Edge included an extensive feature on Bungie, which has now been republished on the Edge website. It's very interesting, particularly for the development staff's own comments on the disappointments of Halo 2:

"The trick is to avoid designing or writing by committee. You have to take what’s best from the input you’re getting and not have it turn into that too many cooks situation."

"That’s sort of what happened with Halo 2," agrees Greisemer. "Toward the end we were working on balancing the weapons and everybody was very vocal about a ton of things and I think eventually we just sort of polished away some of those hard edges."

It may be useful to incorporate comments such as those into the article. --Nick RTalk 12:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adding References to the Article

Apparently, the addition of any more references is not possible at this moment, at least not for me. This has been so for quite a few weeks now. Exactly how can I get a new reference added to the article?

I ask this because a reference I had added several months ago was removed, apparently by someone who felt it was redundant. It was a link to the Bungie.net forums where Jeremiah (a.k.a., "Ninja on Fire"), the guy who is in charge of Halo 2's matchmaking, said that the use of superbounces in matchmaking is cheating. I also added a reference that linked to another B.net post where Tom "Achronos" Gioconda, another Bungie employee, similarly stated that the use of button combos (e.g. "BXR") is cheating as well. The link to Achronos' post is still in the references list, but the reference still says "Superbounces". Since Achronos never specifically mentioned superbounces, I think the link to Jeremiah's post should be added back to the references list, as it is IMO not redundant. The description of the reference should be modified to include "Button Combos" with "Superbouncing" to better clarify things. Here is the link in question: [2]

If anyone here has the clearance to alter the references list and feels, like I do, that re-adding said link is worthwhile, then please do so. Thanks. JGoodman 07:51, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I added the above link to the list of references, which should help clarify for reasons I stated above a couple weeks ago. JGoodman 12:15, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release date?

The article has the release date listed as April 24, but the article it references lists the release date as 2007/2008. I've seen other sites that list it as TBA 2007 or June 1. Where's this April 24 date coming from? And since the sources are so varied, is it even worth putting a definitive release date on the article?

Halo 2 Glitches

Should we make a part of the page for Halo 2 Glitches? Something Like this:

Glitches

  • On High Charity you begin the level with 78 bullets for your Covenant Carbine, when the maximum bullets you can ever have on the Carbine it 72!

-23PatPeter* 22:51, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 22:54, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where's your reasoning behind that? Plenty of games have a glitches section, and I think if there are glitches/easter eggs they should be listed in their own section as well. Alan Fishers 18:06, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because so far, he has one glitch, which itself is his own observation, or original research, as I assume any others added would be. Also, the important problems are referenced in the Additional Content section, about what was and was not covered by patches. Also, I cannot find a Featured video game Article that have a Glitches section. We need to keep it at a Featured Article level of quality, which means not having a Glitches section with, so far, one unsourced glitch. -- Viewdrix 20:41, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
have you ever thought that maybe they added that as a gameplay issue i.e. making the game more manageable. i know it sounds petit but 6 extra shots can make a difference, and bungie might of knowingly implemented that for gameplay reasons. They also do the same thing on the level after 'regret', which i have forgot the name of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Leemyster (talkcontribs) 14:00, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the blastacular maps will probs never be free to buy commercially. however, you could just get a 1 month xbox live membership or a 2 month one you get with some games. that means you can go onto matchmaking, and it will automatically download the maps for ya. that'll save you having to folk out £15-20 on a something you'll use, then never use again. --leemyster 14:04, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Map Pack Problem

Should we include the new problem brewing with the Blastacular Map Pack? You know, the glitch with XBOX 360 users?--Nightmare975 03:30, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What glitch would that be? It would help if we knew the problem before adding to the article. Alan Fishers 18:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Continents of the 2nd Halo

Is it of any significance that the area of Earth which the Covenant land on is very nearly of the same shape as the continent on the 2nd Halo that Master Chief lands on? I may be wrong as I have not played the game in some time though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.64.108.121 (talk) 04:08, 1 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I don't think that is important.--Nightmare975 04:38, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its also not imporant because it barely looks anything like Africa whatsoever. Peptuck 06:39, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New maps offline?

Does the new Blastacular Map Pack will be available for offline users? --MarioV 00:33, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EBgames has no clue on the exact date as this is an assumption. Currently, no game distributors in the retail channel have an exact date. Also, this was to be a cuncurrent World Wide release, I noticed on the Halo 2 page for Wikipedia it had PAL as the 16th. Not sure of the cite, but that's wrong as well. Call anyone up world wide and ask. Germany, Finland, Australia, even Mexico! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pyos (talkcontribs).

Halo 2 Vista release date delyaed

According to ebgames and gamestop the new release date is the 22nd, not the 8th

Bungie.net refs still a problem

The bungie.net refs are still broken. Doesn't really have a chance of getting to the main page if nothing can be verified. Might want to work on this...... --- RockMFR 00:58, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, Rock, that annoying "they aren't working" thorn in my side... (I mean that in a good way!) ;) Thanks for reminding me, I've been busy on another article, but I'll index the broken links and remove them sometime this week. From a cursory try, archive.org wasn't able to fetch any of them, but I'm not used to it, you can see if you can do it... if not I'll just have to find alternative sources... David Fuchs(talk / frog blast the vent core!) 01:30, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is currently a discussion going on about the link to NIN albums at the top of our Halo articles. Please see the RfC in the Halo 3 article. Should the choice be made to remove the link on Halo 3, the same argument will apply to Halo 2. ZG 15:00, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cross-Platform?

Is the Vista and Xbox versions Cross-Platform?

No, though I need to look up a source to cite on that. Off the top of my head, though, I do recall this mentioned in a news article on Bungie.net. It may have discussed the cross-platform capability of Shadowrun in the article if that helps people find it. Anton P. Nym 20:48, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pirate link?

Should this 'Free now to to download for Windows Vista, ' be on the article?

New page deletion

why should the halo 2 vista page just be a section I think this should be addressed with its own page --Link287 16:05, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Currently the link to the supposed 'Main article' for Halo 2 Vista redirects back to the Halo 2 article. Alternatively, I think that the page could be used as an article for both Halo 2 games on the 2 platforms as they should be essentially the same. Songjin 04:44, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd prefer it if someone were to show that enough unique content can be generated for the article to warrant enough space before it gets made. A carbon copy or rephrasing of this article with a few changes here and there to indicate the differences between them doesn't really do anything but generate confusion and takeup space. (In fact it will likely just cause an delete/merge argument). Personally I think that content exists but there's already enough clutter and edit warring on here so its nice to be sure.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 21:41, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree we should wait for the content be necessitate before we create a page Link287 03:40, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Halo 2 running on XP

Halo 2 on XP It doesn't run perfect and its got bugs, but it runs. Interesting decision by Microsoft. Alyeska 03:26, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

how did you do this? Link287 03:38, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide video on somewhere such as YouTube as proof, please? -- Viewdrix 03:43, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Video, not an option sadly. Providing a screenshot of the game in windowed mode with XP idenfication in the background is my proof. Question on Wiki policy. I can provide information on how to make it work, but I think it might be a technical violation of the DMCA as it provides a game activation crack. Alyeska 04:24, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bungie.net Link talking about how it works To put simply, because you don't have the system lag that comes with Vista, the XP cracked version plays smoother then the Vista version. You can only play Single Player, but since MP is practically empty, this is not a problem. Alyeska 04:36, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

there has been a Halo 2 Win2k patch on P2P since early June; I don't have the game, but did help set it up on a friends Win2k Pro machine. Had problems with the online component, but offline worked perfect. And of course better than XP.Paganize 15:31, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do we know if MS planning to release the XP patch officially is a reaction to crackers (easily) making an XP patch, or were MS planning on releasing it anyway? That would be very useful information for this page JayKeaton 17:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Halo 2 for Vista

Maybe someone with the time and knowledge should make a new page for the Vista version of Halo 2, or else put some requirements for the game etc in. Lawnmowers Rock! 07:15, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since almost nothing new exists on this version (unlike the notable addition of online multiplayer and new weapons to the first game's PC version) I don't think a new article is warranted. The current section seems to have it all covered.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 12:48, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would have edited this myself, but this article is semi-locked. Under the section "Windows Vista Version" of the article, I take issue with the information given by the contributor. On the second paragraph down, the user wrote 'Bungie has stated that it will also have networking features of its own, resembling Halo PC's inclusion of free internet capabilities. This did not happen. Halo 2 released with LAN support, but Live is required for any Internet gaming.'

This implies that the owner must pay money to play internet gaming on H2 Vista. Although internet gaming does require Xbox Live (or Games for Windows Live- same thing), it doesn't require the Gold pay version to access online play. Xbox Live does offer a free Silver membership that allows you to access public servers and create your own public accessible games.

The Gold version simply gives you more servers to join than the silver version. The number of players on H2 Vista is not anything comparable to the Xbox version. The game plays just as well if not better on Vista depending on your setup. The last thing we need is to scare any more potential players away by inferring that it costs extra to play online. Will someone with more posts please edit the article to reflect the truth about free online multi-player. Tony42077 21:53, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Hopefully with the release of Halo 3 we will be able to remove semi-protection, as all the fanboys will vandalize that article instead. I've removed the section you brought up, as it was not in the proper tone for the article. David Fuchs (talk) 22:23, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A non-gamer's two pennies

I'm not a gamer and haven't played Halo, but I punched it up in Wikipedia just to see what the fuss was about. Thanks for including a summary of the plot. If I may make a suggestion, the details (notably in the last third) get a bit fuzzy, making it difficult to follow the ideas and the locations for someone who hasn't any familiarity with it.

For example, we're told they escape the city, but, errr....what city was this. O, is it the space station mentioned earlier? Maybe? Maybe not.

All being said, A for effort, but just a slight clean up to get the A+.

Well..the article is featured, but just to clarify, he starts out on the space station, then goes down to Earth, and then goes to Delta Halo.--Zxcvbnm 03:44, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I reckon the Story section is too long and too detailed for an encyclopaedia. It could do with a shortening, to about half its current length. Ong elvin 09:38, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary.

Near the end of the plot summary, it says that Master Chief escapes on a Forerunner ship. It was actually a convenant ship that the Chief got off on. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BFT9000 (talkcontribs) 06:05, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(facepalm) Cortana repeatedly calls it a "Forerunner ship" throughout Gravemind and High Charity. Peptuck 07:31, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your a little mistaken there BFT9000, he does escape in a covenant ship, but its in order to get to the forerunner ship that he is then taken to earth on. It is the same forerunner ship that powers high charity.
You are both wrong. The covenant were using High Charity's power systems to "power up and launch" the forerunner ship. And it..."wasn't so much as lunching, but disengaging" according to Cortana. 75.60.14.113 01:18, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When does cortana become imprisoned by the gravemind?

Ive played Halo 2 through a few times and dont remember ever seeing it, but my memory is poor so I may have missed it. So where exactly does it happen? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.171.111.194 (talk) 11:34, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also do the covenant speak english?

It is mentioned that they dont speak english, yet the covenant have no problem understanding humans, and vice versa, and neither have trouble understanding forerunner text and speak.

And also how do the three different civilisations use compatable software/programming language/runtimes? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.171.111.194 (talk) 11:39, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
