Roadrunner Records Demo is the name of a 1998 demo tape by nu metal band, Slipknot. It was released in extremely low numbers and is incredibly hard to find.

Track listing

  1. "Spit It Out" – 2:39
  2. "Wait and Bleed" – 2:27
  3. "Snap" – 2:55
  4. "Interloper" – 2:18
  5. "Despise" – 3:40

Members

The following band members recorded the album. Greg "Cuddles" Welts replaced Anders Colsefini who was shortly then replaced by Chris Fehn shortly after the release of this album. James Root replaced Josh Brainard after the release of the self-titled album.

Despise

The 5th track, "Despise" has similar lyrics from the song "Purity", from the Self-Titled Album. This song has been considered a substitute for Purity since the Self-Titled Album has been recalled 5 months after the release because of a fear of lawsuit.

Availability

This demo is very hard to find and is considered the most coveted collectors item. But somehow the demo has fully leaked and are available from the following sources

  • The songs "Interloper" and "Despise", both of which also can be found on the Digipak version of Slipknot's self-titled album.
  • The songs "Wait And Bleed" and "Spit It Out" were the two songs that have leaked. These were the only two songs on the CD that have been leaked from the actual CD. Many P2P Networks that have this demo for download have all the songs, but "Wait And Bleed" And "Spit It Out" were the only ones from the actual CD.
