Lt. Gen. Victor H. Krulak
What a great Marine and patriot. Is he in the L"ist of historically famous Marines"? Tony the Marine (talk) 22:53, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- He is now (smile). Tony the Marine (talk) 23:01, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- To your first question: within a couple weeks. You'll see a header on my user and talk page before I board the plane. To your second comment: I'm not very well versed in the FA process. I've attempted to participate in a couple before, and I got lost in the nuances; debate over the capitalization of a single letter, the placements of commas, and other weighty issues that I know little about. I could attempt to assist you, but my research resources aren't going to be any better than yours, nor do I have the depth or breadth of experience you have in biographies. If you have any specific tasks you think I could handle, let me know. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 03:40, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Re: USAF Portal
Copy all, thanks much. And thanks for taking on the portal when it was clear no one else was doing it. Please accept a Military Barnstar for your work on both the USAF and Marine Corps portals. Ndunruh (talk) 14:43, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- I should be albe to, at least in the near-term. I anticipate my duties becoming a great deal more rigerious in about a year's time, so I'll have to re-assess then, but for now I should be able to take it on. Ndunruh (talk) 15:48, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Marine biographies
Could you do me a favor? For the next month or so, let me know when you create a new article or add one to Category:United States Marine Corps generals? I'm blowing through that category, adding ribbon racks, and I'd hate to miss one because it was added after I finished with that letter. I'm keeping my project status up to date in User:bahamut0013/ribbon workshop#Project Status, and I saw your most recent one (Gen Christmas). Thanks! bahamut0013wordsdeeds 22:05, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Hello, may I please ask a few questions?
I read your comment on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stephanie sarkis and I'd like ask a few general questions.
I've re-read the pages on deletion policy and notability guidelines. How would you suggest an editor go about handling an article like this one: Kent Stanley This is a new article written by a single author, likely autobiographical. It contains claims of notability, but no 3rd party sources. The only contributions by this author are on the article in question. Special:Contributions/HaroldKStanley
In a broad sense, how does one go about improving something like this? Do I need to gut the article and just make a stub saying something like:
- Kent Stanley is the senior associate athletics director for development at Utah State.
and cite: http://utahstateaggies.cstv.com/genrel/071808aaa.html
He may have had a good coaching career at Oklahoma City University, but I am not sure this individual is notable. What do I do now? Do I just leave it? Should I Prod? Afd?
Thank you very much for your time. Liberal Classic (talk) 06:22, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

badges
I've been placing ID badges to the side of the ribbons for a neater appearance whenever possible. Wings and other badges go above. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do when I get into the Army bios, they have a tednancy to have lots and lots of badges and tabs and other accoutrements... bahamut0013wordsdeeds 23:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, and I appreciate the updates. Cheers! bahamut0013wordsdeeds 23:29, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:N-YHS logo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:N-YHS logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

RE: Andrea White
Thank You! --Obaidz96 (talk • contribs • count) 00:42, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- You asked about references for Andrea White being a partner with Locke & Liddell (now Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell, LLP). What I can find online are various speaker profiles:
Red Rose Ball honoree, 2007, UH Downtown. "...went on to become the second female partner at the law firm Locke Liddell." Duchesne Book Fair, 2005. "...she attended the University of Texas Law School and went on to become the second female partner at the law firm Locke Liddell." HTH. — ERcheck (talk) 04:38, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
